We went to Parker Johnstone Wilsonville Honda after visiting another dealership in Vancouver Washington and having a horrible experience. As such, we were expecting more of the same hassles that you typically associate with car buying. Upon arriving at the dealership and being greeted by Merry, we were pleasantly surprised to find out that car buying can be a fun and rewarding process. From start to finish, we were treated with kindness and respect, which seem to be lacking from the automotive industry in general. We were offered a very good price on our trade-in (substantially more than the low ball offer from the other dealership) and a great price on the new CRV (lower than anywhere else in the region, even with more options). To top it off, when the finance manager Sheena noticed that we qualified for a lower rate than our prequalification that we had from another bank, she didn't hesitate to offer it to us. How often does that happen? The other dealership tried to tack on points to our existing pre-offer. The process took a little longer than we would have hoped, but it wasn't due to the typical make you wait and sweat approach of other dealers. They were really just busy. As we were there around dinner time, Merry even gave us a gift card to a local restaurant and we went to dinner while they were finishing up the paperwork. By the time we made it back, our papers were ready and waiting! Overall, I am very satisfied and have already recommended this dealership to two friends and plan on recommending it to anyone else who will listen (even those who won't). More

I visited the lot looking at the new Honda Ridgeline. Chris was helpful, knowledgeable, and respectful. Ultimately, I found I needed a larger truck than Honda offered. I was delighted to have the opportunity to meet and chat with Parker -- his approachableness and willingness to converse with customers also exemplified the integrity of the company he's built and the reason why his dealership sands out above the typical auto sales group. It's obvious that he sets the example for everyone there, despite his claim to be at the bottom of an inverted pyramid in his organization !! No, it's also because of that big, friendly smile on Jeannette's face when we walk in the door! Over the years Jeannette has always make our family feel special, and shown us that the dealership values not only our business, but our friendship, which is something rare to find these days in any industry. Whether its' a simple Lube/Oil/Filter or major renovation service well over a thousand dollars, we know our patronage is appreciated and not taken for granted. Jeannette always takes the time to explain servicing suggestions and never makes us feel rushed or hurried. She's also very understanding of the fact that in today's economy one may not have it in the budget to take care of all service considerations at once; with this in mind, she helps prioritize items within monetary constraints. Jeanette's caring attitude, and exemplary customer service skills, reflect highly upon the ownership, management and staff of Wilsonville Honda, and keeps us coming back as very satisfied customers. Chris was great to work with. He made us feel very comfortable and was even great with my daughter who is only 4! By the time we left she was asking if he was coming with us! I have only had my Pilot serviced one time at this dealership, but it would not start last weekend and I called to ask what they thought the problem might be. Although it was just a couple of minutes before closing time, Brandon not only correctly diagnosed the problem over the phone, but quickly came to the location and stayed until the Pilot was running again. I had run the battery down, and called AAA to charge it. I am extremely impressed that Brandon was not only willing, but insisted on staying to be sure the Pilot was running and was safe to drive, even thought it was after business hours. I would consider his actions far above and beyond the call of duty. You can bet I will continue having my Pilot serviced at this dealership! More
Chris was my primary contact for the sales portion of the transaction, Hugo was his manager, and Larry was the finance guy. I was looking for a Honda Pilot to allow me to better haul music gear around town f transaction, Hugo was his manager, and Larry was the finance guy. I was looking for a Honda Pilot to allow me to better haul music gear around town for gigs. I had done my homework before going to the dealership, so I knew about how much I could expect for my trade-in (a 2005 Lexus ES330) as well as for the car I wanted. I had really only done research on the 2012 models as well as a couple of years prior (2008, 2009, right around the refresh of the line. I had expected to get between $11,000 and $14,000 for the Lexus, was pleased to get $13,000 for my trade-in which I consider a fair value for both parties. There was a minimum of fuss and negotiation to get to that point. Of particular note was that they asked me to provide service records, which were easily obtained from my Lexus dealership, and replacing a cracked windshield, which I had already scheduled to have done on the following Friday. Action Auto Glass sent a guy out on Friday and repaired it at the dealership, which saved me a trip and a four hour wait. I originally went home with a used 2011 Pilot that was equipped how I wanted it, but after a couple of days I realized that this model was missing several features that I had been expecting, such as guide lines on the rear-facing camera and streaming audio from my phone (so I could listen to Pandora in the car while leaving my phone in my pants). The 2012's also have better fuel efficiency and a nicer grill, in addition to a better center console stack (for the audio system and climate control). Rather than have a car that I wish had these features for the next few years, I contacted Chris and they took the 2011 back with few if any questions and sold me a similarly equipped 2012 in the same color, which is now sitting in my garage, and I am very happy. There was no restocking fee, and everyone at the dealership was extremely pleasant at all times. While I am not the kind of guy who gives in to overt pressure, I never felt at any point that I was being pushed to do something I didn't want to do, and I consider my purchase of the 2011 to have been my own fault for not having done the research on that model year. In the case of both vehicles, I paid what I expected to pay based on information from the Consumer Reports and Edmunds websites. I also have a good friend in the loan business who had told me that Wilsonville Honda had a very relaxed sales environment. While the process of purchasing a car, especially when there is a trade-in and financing, to be rather lengthy, Chris did a great job of keeping me entertained and comfortable throughout. Shout outs to Oli and Michael, who I also had conversations with while at the dealership. In short, in the age of the Internet and easy to find information on specific car models, I expected to get certain prices, did so in all cases with minimal muss and fuss, and was treated well throughout the process, even when I changed my mind about the model I wanted within a couple of days.
