Urgent reply required I am very displeased with the service I received from your employees in Your Service Department. Last weekend, on Friday January 3, my car, Renegade I am very displeased with the service I received from your employees in Your Service Department. Last weekend, on Friday January 3, my car, Renegade Latitude suddenly stop running in a highway and would not restart until 10-15 minutes later. Luckily we were driving next to the shoulder lane, otherwise a horrible accident would have occurred at 70 miles per hour. I was able to return to my house with difficulty, very very slow, and the dashboard i started to indicate that engine needed urgent service as the oil pressure was low. After contacting Ed Voyles, the dealer where I purchased the car, they indicated I should contact Chrysler and gave me their phone number so the car could get towed to the nearest Jeep dealership. When the car arrived to your shop a few hours later, Mr. Murray Baraw, a Service Adviser at Palmer, asked me what was wrong with the car, and after explaining he asked when had we done the last engine oil change, to what I responded that it was done last October 2019. He said that because it was a New Year weekend, my car would not be seen until the following Monday because they were short of staff and full of work. He said they needed to conduct a thorough inspection to diagnose the problem and he would call when this was done. The next day, on Saturday January 4, I received an email from PalmerService indicating they had performed a maintenance oil change and the car was ready to be picked up. The person who received our payment for the oil change refused to write on the receipt the reason that prompted the car towing to your business, and only instructed to return once the car reached a mileage of one additional thousand miles on it. He explained that the engine may be burning more oil that required and that they need to measure oil expenditure as part of the diagnosis. Then I called back Mr. Murray Baraw to request a letter from your Service Department, explaining in writing the reason that prompted my car to be towed to your shop. He promised that he would email the letter but I have not received it yet. I have been advised by a Lemon Law attorney that I should have this in writing because the car is about to reach 30 K miles in it, and since this is an obvious safety hazard, that The staff in your shop should have documented this case very well and clearly. Disappointed I purchased my Jeep GC SRT from Palmer and have had several great experiences with service specifically with Neil who I assume recently left Palmer. I I purchased my Jeep GC SRT from Palmer and have had several great experiences with service specifically with Neil who I assume recently left Palmer. I recently dropped my car off that morning (@ 8am) with the expectation that I would get a loaner or rental but there were none to be had. Palmer did pay for an Uber to work. Around 2:30-3pm I had heard nothing about status of my vehicle so I texted Palmer Service and they replied that they had not even put my car in the shop yet and it would be the next day before it made its way into the shop to be diagnosed. My primary reason for being upset is the lack of timely communication both that morning and in the afternoon when I had to reach out to Palmer Service. Living in Atlanta our vehicles are our lifeblood to not communicate status when they knew that I did not have a loaner or rental could have put my in a bad situation that evening. Fortunately, a co-worker was able to drive me to Palmer where I just picked up my vehicle (that had just sat in the service lot all day) and drove it home. I have always been loyal to businesses that have treated me well and Palmer has done so up until the appointment. I understand that Palmer Service was busy as it was a Monday morning right after the new year, but Palmer wasted my time and time is priceless. I have not brought the car back in for service and I'm considering taking it to one of the other Jeep dealerships as I'm disappointed with how it all went down this past Monday. More
