The experience of purchasing a 2011 Camry was top notch. Our salesman, Tony Cambio, has excellent people skills. We felt no sales pressure that can be a negative experience. Tony was mentoring Antonio Z. who also made a very favorable impression in his willingness to be of assistance to us and his mentor. We did not make a purchase on the first visit but, we test drove a vehicle with the features we wanted and were quoted a purchase price. We felt the price we were quoted was fair and we returned to purchase the auto on the next business day. We are are very pleased with our purchase and the professionalism of the staff at Oakbrook Toyota. Disappointing experience. Arrived at the dealership with a very specific model and extra that I wanted to purchase (Toyota camry with sunroof -period - no other extras) Surprise!!! The very one that I was looking for had JUST arrived - the salesman had to go to a different lot to get it for me it was sooooo new! He thought it was the only one that they had that met my specifications. I took it for a test drive and noticed a rattle. Told him I did not want to purchase that one. He was not sure they had any others that did not have more bells and whistles. Tried test driving some cars that were more equipped just to see if there was a rattle. He went to look for another car that met my wishes. His manager didn't think they had any others, BUT he was such a super salesman that he just happened to find another one that even the manager didn't know about. By the way, the first car with the rattle - that was just brand new, arriving straight off the truck minutes before we got there had 120 miles on it- all the others that we test drove had less than 20. I was stupid enough to think that perhaps this car salesman was not the typical type that make car buying experiences so unpleasant. I was wrong again. Some things were positive about the experience, however (I did end up buying the car he finally brought to us). I felt that the employees at the dealership worked well together as a team and it was not a high pressure experience. I felt the negotiating process was fair and smooth and that we were given good education about the features of the car.The toyota dealership was Oakbrook Toyota and the salesman was John Cheung. On Monday I called Oakbrook Toyota to find out if a used Hylander Hybrid was still available that I had seen on Autotrader over the weekend was still available for purchase. Abe answered and told me that it was and would I be interested in seeing it. I decided to to see the car. When I arrived Abe was there with a huge smile and a friendly greeting. Before we went on the test drive he showed all the features and patiently answered my questions about how a hybrid works. I closely examined the car and found it to be in excellent condition. Next came the negotiating part. Having purchased many cars in my life I was fully prepared to walk out the door if I felt I was being pressured, or being lied to, or treated unfairly. I was pleasantly surprised when the negotiations went smoothly and believe it or not was a pleasant experience because of the respectful way I was treated by Abe. When we agreed upon the price then Abe asked if I was trading in a car. Usually a sales person will ask early if you're trading and one is never sure how much you're getting for the trade in while you're negotiating. I found this to be a much fairer way to deal. A fair price I felt was agreed upon. Yesterday I picked up the car. The car was actually for my daughter who lives in Southern Illinois who brought in her car to trade since who was unable to find a used Highlander there. Everything went smooth until we got home and found it was missing a cup holder divider and we couldn't get the rear middle seat belt to lock. I called Abe who apologized and asked if I didn't mind if he could stop at my house on his way home to put in a cup holder divider and look at the seat belt. He arrived on time and quickly put in the divider and explained the correct way to use the rear seat belts. The problem was not with the car, but my incorrect connection attempts. After a few minutes of talking about the car, the demise of the Cubs, and golf Abe was on his way. Lastly tonight I got a call from Abe. He knew my daughter was driving home with the car today. He wanted to know how the car was and if she had arrived safely. Abe is more than a salesman he;s a caring person. Anyone looking for a Toyota and want to to have a great experience with a sales person. Go to Oakbrook Toyota and ask for Abe. Be sure to ask him how is golf game is. More

Keith was very accommodating with all of our requests to look at and drive multiple cars throughout the day. When we weren’t able to find the exact combination of exterior color and features that we wanted on the lot, Alex Syed (General Manager) jumped in and saved the day. Alex was able to locate and deliver the exact car my wife was looking for – his level of engagement and commitment to our satisfaction has made loyal customers of us going forward. Even the financing was a great experience - Bob Burke was very pleasant and the entire process was streamlined and efficient.
