My buying experience at O'Donnell Honda I went to O'Donnell Honda to get an estimate of the cost for a Honda CR-V. Stan Bailey met me as I entered and offered to help me. I told him what I w I went to O'Donnell Honda to get an estimate of the cost for a Honda CR-V. Stan Bailey met me as I entered and offered to help me. I told him what I was interested in. He asked a few questions after he invited me to sit at his desk. I told him the features I wanted. He gave me 2 alternatives for my preferences, the EX and EX-L. I thanked him and left the dealership within 20 minutes. After going to another dealership, which tried to get me to buy the car on the spot and kept me there for over an hour, I returned to buy my car from O'Donnell Honda. I appreciate the way Stan treated me and I would recommend him to anyone I know who is interested in purchasing a new Honda. More

Efficient, fair, relaxed We had been researching and shopping around for a 2015 Honda Civic. We chose to begin our search at O'Donnell due to a long term relationship we We had been researching and shopping around for a 2015 Honda Civic. We chose to begin our search at O'Donnell due to a long term relationship we have had with their service department, which has been excellent We already own two previously-owned Hondas which each now have over 150,000 miles on them. O'Donnell has done all of our maintenance work. We worked with Mike Garvey as our new car sales rep. His approach to the transaction was professional and low key. He was able to take care of the entire transaction himself, which I believe to be one of the strengths in the way O"Donnell appears to be organized. Prior to making our final decision, we went through a fairly rigorous process of due diligence, including a detailed personal budget analysis and visits to other dealers to test the market for availability and price of the models in which we were interested. Mike offered a reasonable asking price right up front without playing the "I've got to check with the manager" relay that appears to be quite common in many other dealerships. Although the price was above our budgeted amount, he was willing to add some options for which other dealers were adding an upcharge. We ended up purchasing a Civic EX, which put us somewhat over our budgeted amount, but provided some desirable features not included in the Civic LX (e.g., back-up camera, right-turn camera, moonroof). At no time did we feel that Mike was pushing us into the more expensive model, rather, we were interested in the EX and he did what he felt was reasonable to make it a bit more affordable. The only thing we aren't sure of is whether we could have gotten a small break on the price for paying cash. After we had agreed on the final price, it was apparent that Mike thought we would be financing the purchase with a loan. We are not aware of whether we could have negotiated a slightly lower price on a cash purchase with no trade-in. Overall, we came away feeling very satisfied that we had bought a great car at a fair price. We will most definitely continue to do business with Mike and O'Donnell Honda in the future! More

He was readily accessible and phenomenal to work with. When I called to tell him that I was on my way, he made sure that the car would be ready as soon as I arrived. When I got to the dealership, I had the pleasure of dealing with Mike Garvey. I had come from an all-day search for the new touring. When I arrived, I was greeted by Mike who brought the car around. I told him that I wanted to purchase it, and we moved right into the paperwork. He did not try to push any extra features that I did not ask for and was more than honest. In addition, since we had been looking for cars for over 8 hours, we asked him if they had a vending machine. He said they didn't (it was in the service area) but brought over his own crackers so we could have someone to snack on. I just thought that this was so very nice of him. He was such a pleasure to work with. He explained every detail of the process and kept coming back to update us on where we were. It's great when as a women you can go to a dealership that is not pushy or does not overlook you because you are a women. From my entrance Jerry has a face and disposition you can trust. A dealer to avoid We went to O'Donnell Honda because we had received a very good price on the internet. Accordingly there was not much to do at the dealer. Unfortunately, when we arrived at the dealer things started to go down hill. We had trouble finding a salesperson. While the salesperson was attentive at first, he wanted to get involved with other customers to make more sales. So we felt like we were bothering him to explain the cars functions. Then we had to wait over 2 1/2 hours for the finance person. The only explanation was that they were busy. We were told that because of this delay we would receive some type of compensation, but this was a lie. Then they could not find the second key to the car. They said they were going to mail the key, but I don't know how since they need the car. My wife went back several days latter and rather then be handled immediately she had to wait in the service department for over an hour. My wife complained several times about what we went through and at first was promised some time of compensation. When she heard nothing she called the service manager. This was the final blow. Rather than trying to console her, he was rude and disrespectful. I have never had such a miserable experience in buying a car in over 40 years of making such purchases. I would rather pay several hundred dollars more and go to another dealer rather than deal with O'Donnell. More
