Thank god for Ian! This car purchase was a surprise from my husband. .... or shall I say was supposed to be a surprise. The finance manager was rude and unprofessional. This car purchase was a surprise from my husband. .... or shall I say was supposed to be a surprise. The finance manager was rude and unprofessional. By the sounds of it he was agitated because my husband already had the financing in place, he just wanted to buy the car. There was NO communication between the departments here. This deal should have been cut and dry, my husband knew what car he wanted, it was still available, he had financing in place, took it for a test drive, wanted it. .... now where does he sign. Nothing from this point on went smooth. He and our daughter's picked up the car Wednesday night, 1/2way home and the heat isn't working properly, he turns around brings it back and is told that it's a 3 hour job we'll do it first thing tomorrow and be in touch. Well Thursday, late morning I receive a call from our automotive insurance company asking what the fax was for Boch Toyota, now at this point i had NO idea as to why my insurance company would need that, so that is when i questioned my husband as to what was going on. He then had to tell me about MY new car he bought for an anniversary gift. The problem, the insurance company had faxed over the necessary information earlier that day but again, NO communication in between the departments. Now my surprise has been spoiled and at this point my husband is expected to be hearing from "SOMEONE" @ Boch about the repair, (that shouldn't have been necessary anyhow because the car was originally picked up on Wednesday night). Now it's Thursday night at 8:50pm and no one has been in touch with him. He calls to get the status, the repair part has not even been ordered yet. Now they tell my husband he will hear from the service manager first thing Friday morning, 1 1 o'clock he finally hears from someone asking him to come and finish signing the necessary paperwork. He had to actually explain the situation to the next representative, I already had picked up the car, and brought it back to repair something that should have been checked out before the car even made it to the "for sale lot". Now at this time, I would have already left the dealership and canceled the whole thing. This is where Ian Swenson was phenomenal, he is an understanding and personable employee, he totally saved the deal as well as the day on Friday. He made sure that the car was ready for pickup Friday, BUT not after a lot of added nonsense that was completely out of Ian's control. IF I ever return to Boch Toyota I will only deal with Ian, he truly seemed to care about this whole ordeal. More

I told him what I wanted and how much I wanted to spend. --I wanted a lot and didn't want to spend much. We walked the lot and couldn't find anything that fit the match. He never tried to sell me anything that didn't match my original criteria. By chance, my girlfriend spotted a truck that had just been traded in and wasn't even added to the inventory yet. Joe took care of the rest. Like I said in the title, there was no pressure. Walking around the lot with Joe was like walking around with a friend. He was willing to let me leave at anytime if we didn't find exactly what I was looking for. No up-selling at all. This will be my first stop when I'm ready to buy my next car. More
