When we came to NW JCD, we were looking for a Dodge Charger, but none available had the options we wanted. We wound up with a Chrysler 300, fully loaded for much less than we thought the Charger would Charger, but none available had the options we wanted. We wound up with a Chrysler 300, fully loaded for much less than we thought the Charger would cost. This is one oof the finest cars I have ever owned and the service department keeps reminding me when it is time for maintenance. I am always met with a smile and a friendly attitude, even when I bring in my 18 year old beater pickup for an oil change. This is a nice place to do business. No pressure, no tag teaming. More
I don't even know where to begin, but only wish they had I don't even know where to begin, but only wish they had a zero stars option instead of one star. My experience with this dealership has been far, fa I don't even know where to begin, but only wish they had a zero stars option instead of one star. My experience with this dealership has been far, far less than professional. I had my financing already arranged through a Capital One blank check program, and as someone who lives almost a couple hundred miles away my first contact with the dealership was by phone. I wanted to verify they participated in the Capital One program, and although I spoke with multiple people it took a week before anyone could give me a definitive answer - which was yes. During that week I was told by someone in finance that although they participated in the program that they didn't like it very much and considered the 'blank check' worthless because they said they didn't get paid in a timely manner - kind of odd considering the buyer gives them a check. All this aside I still wanted the vehicle I found online and spent another week placing phone calls, not getting call backs, getting call back but without answers to the questions I'd asked, then finally being told that they were holding the vehicle for an out of state buyer who was a really nice lady who needed time to get her financing in order. When is the last time you ever heard of a car dealer holding a car for someone else with no money down when they've got a fully qualified and ready to go buyer? They told me they were holding that vehicle, but could sell me a brand new one for roughly the same price - yeah, right. xx. A week later I checked the web site and craigslist and saw the very same vehicle (not another one, the same exact one) advertised for sale - this time for $1,000 less than before. I called again - waited several hours for a call back, and was told that they had just sold it and that a deserving mother who had never had a nice vehicle before was just driving off. So I listened to the sales persons' (John King, an aspiring Portland politician) excuses and drivel for 20 minutes and he promised that he would like to make it right and that I should look at other Jeeps for sale. I found another Jeep that I liked, and we agreed on a price and he told me to bring a cashiers check if I wanted to pick it up the next day. Since the Capital One blank check was for almost the entire purchase price, I assumed he meant the small balance that was owed should be paid by cashiers check. When I tried to clarify that with him, he told me no - the entire balance and very clearly said he wouldn't take the Capital One financing check. They're listed on the Capital One web site, I verified with Capital One by phone, and even though it took a week I verified it with the dealership. Even with all this crap I was willing to walk away and go to another dealership if this really was their unwritten policy. Until I received a phone call from John King almost immediately after our last conversation - he had hung up because he said he had to go keep an appointment with a customer who was waiting for him. So the phone rings, but it is quickly apparent that he had inadvertently called me on his cell phone and didn't even know we were connected and that I could hear his entire conversation with co-workers. He had no appointment with a customer - he spoke of me to his co-worker in a very demeaning manner in language I will not repeat here, he was complaining about having to stay and work when another one of the employees got to leave early after coming in late, & was complaining about management watching him & checking on him while he was eating. This whole ordeal has put me at least 3 weeks behind in my car buying timeline, I dealt with un-knowledgeable and unprofessional sales staff, was treated unfairly, was jerked around, was talked about badly, and was lied to. I've never written one of these reviews before, and quite frankly have had some less-than-satisfying transactions with other car dealers, but this experience has prompted me to do my best to warn others to stay as far away from Northwest Jeep as possible. Lalena Canja says oil change is done but latch must be replaced but not in stock and 5-7 day estimate for availability. Told Lalena Canja that we needed car and we would come and pick it up. Lalena Canja says some paper work still to do. Told Lalena Canja we were on the way, have car ready. Arrived at service area about 1445. Car not ready. Lalena Canja says tech is finishing paperwork. Told Lalena Canja I don't care about the paperwork. Tell me the cost so I can pay bill and get car. Lalena Canja says will check. Lalena Canja returns and says "a few minutes." Asked to speak the department manager. Lalena Canja goes to service manager office and talks for a few minutes. Leaves office. I talk to manager who apologizes for problem and car is almost ready. I go outside to wait. See car on lift and return to managers office. Ask manager why car is on lift. Manager says doing oil change. Incredulous, I state that Lalena Canja said oil change already done. Manager apologizes again. I ask where car will be parked when done. Manager indicates area. I say tell me cost so I can pay. Manager says no charge because of problem. I go outside to wait. Manager goes to service bay and waits until car finished. Drives it to waiting area and hands me keys. I leave, unlikely to return. Bought 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee from Northwest Jeep and it was a great experience all around!! I got a better deal on a nicer vehicle from this dealer than any other dealer I visited (about 8 total). Sold us a car that had been repaired, probably in an accident, and lied about it. We found out because the VIN plate was missing from both inside the door and the hood. They had both been replaced (the accident, and lied about it. We found out because the VIN plate was missing from both inside the door and the hood. They had both been replaced (the hood and the door) which is why the plates were missing is what we were told. Also, the paint started to bubble on both those areas a few months down the road which further indicated they had been either replaced and/or repaired. They refused to repair the bad paint job and bring its quality to match the rest of the vehicle. Worse yet, there had been repairs on the body where the seams were working loose, at the drivers door, from a second rate repair. We had expressed over and over that we needed a reliable and safe car as we were buying it from our daughter. However, the problem was not the sales/floor people, it was the "main" manager who claimed to be directly under the owner (flunkee). Who's job probably depends on only satisfying the customer if there is not monetary cost involved! Silver lining...I learned never to buy a used vehicle without having a second party verify its condition. Even if buying from a dealer who seems to have credibility in the community. We will never buy another car from them again & will tell anyone we know looking for a new/used car to avoid them at all costs! Signed, Very diappointed & feeling ripped off! More
I have been going to NW Jeep on Canyon Rd. in Beaverton since 1999 for my XJ (Cherokee) for regular services, checks, and requests. Over these years, I have dealt with several service department folks inc since 1999 for my XJ (Cherokee) for regular services, checks, and requests. Over these years, I have dealt with several service department folks including Chris, Kris, Tony (who is no longer at NW Jeep due to medical reasons only) and Brian and Donald (Mechanics). Each has offered great service, sincere honesty, and valuable advice. A real positive aspect of NW Jeep Service Department is the longevity of its employees - the really great ones have been around a good while and will continue to do so. With guys like Kris Swenson, in particular, I never have to doubt his input. Even if he doesn't agree, he'll take another look. The mechanics in the upper shop are always willing to run through the vehicle with you and show you exactly what they think. I've been rightly corrected more than once, but always in a confindence-inspiring manner. I've dealt with several other shops and departments with this and other vehicles, and I've arrived at the point where I just won't go other places - even though I now live 400 miles away. The NW Jeep Service Department, for me, is worth every minute and dollar. More
