Mr. DeLorme, I visited with my preowned director Trey Horner regarding the situation. He rode with you in the vehicle that evening (it was around 8 pm he said, after our service dept had closed, and you needed to take the car that night.. schedule wouldn't permit holding up the deal til our service dept would next be open). Trey mentioned that he put in writing for you that North Park would assist in the repair of that trim part of the dash that had come loose, and he has been trying to get in contact with you. The part that you want replaced, according to what you and our Preowned Director Mr. Trey Horner discussed the evening you took delivery and drove up to Dallas, is a trim dash piece that shouldn’t impact drivability of the MKZ at all. We are not sure why the Dallas-area Lincoln service department you’re working with has left you without the use of the car, or a Lincoln loan vehicle while they work on getting the part from the factory. Please call Mr. Horner directly with the name of the service manager at that other Lincoln store, so we can contact them on your behalf. Respectfully, Chad Binder, General Manager.

Sir, I apologize for the inconvenience involved with this recall. Ford Motor Company and North Park are both doing our best to accommodate requests for rental vehicles as expeditiously as possible. I know our service manager Gary Ackels has been in contact with you and/or with your wife on rental car accommodations and getting you reimbursed through Ford Motor Co. for the out of pocket rental expense you incurred initially. Please contact either Gary or myself if we can be of further service during this time when we are waiting for replacement parts from Takata, and then going forward as well.
