There was only one negative for me. We didn’t pay $900 for the security system and after we declined the offer, John King the finance manager, lowered the rate to “his cost” of $400. We still didn’t accept it, but to go from $900 to $400 in a matter of seconds shows how quickly dealerships manipulate numbers to raise the rate of cars. Then, as we were ready to drive our new car out of the lot, our sales representative, with the click of a button, instantly deactivated the security system when it was already installed in the car. Car pricing fluctuates so quickly that I think it would have been nice had the sales representative said, “Since it’s already activated I’m going to keep it on for you.” It doesn’t cost the dealer any more, or at least not very much, especially when it’s already equipped, and it would have been a nice way to say we appreciate your business. Overall, it was a great buying experience. More
