Brand new car not detailed I purchased a new vehicle late on a Friday night so wasn’t too concerned that it wasn’t “brand new car spotless” since I knew I had to bring it back f I purchased a new vehicle late on a Friday night so wasn’t too concerned that it wasn’t “brand new car spotless” since I knew I had to bring it back for several other add-on features including remote start, upgraded mats and interior and exterior protection. When I made the appointment and when I dropped off the vehicle, I asked if it would be detailed since it wasn’t when I bought it. I was assured yes at both times and told there couldn’t be dust inside before the protection coating was put on my leather seats. When I picked up the vehicle I knew right away it had not been detailed inside since the same 2 dustballs that had been on the dash when I bought it were still there and the screen was full of fingerprints. I looked under the new mats and the vehicle had not been vacuumed either. While the outside looked great I’m not even sure the protection was put on the seats since it was dirty inside. A very kind saleswoman (whose name I didn’t see in the list) actually cleaned the vehicle as best she could since I picked it up again late on a Friday and the service staff was gone for the day. My salesperson was there too and sat with me while the vehicle was being cleaned. It was a very disappointing first service experience at Newbold. I am a new Toyota customer and am used to amazing customer and vehicle service from Honda the past 17 years. No one greeted me when I pulled my car in the service bay - a few employees walked right past me while I tried to figure out what I was supposed to do. Definitely different than Honda where multiple staff are right there in the bay to greet, direct and help. I really like my new RAV4 and hope future service visits are much different than this experience. More
