I was given wrong information to repair brake light. On Thursday October 13, 1916 I took my 2005 Toyota Prius to Toyota World to repair my defective drivers side brake light. Dacia Letts came back to me On Thursday October 13, 1916 I took my 2005 Toyota Prius to Toyota World to repair my defective drivers side brake light. Dacia Letts came back to me and presented me with an estimate of $ 335.00. On October 14, 2016 I returned to Toyota World to question why such an outrageous price to replace a incandescent bulb. My experience was that to replace the LED brake light the entire rear assembly had to be replaced, I brought this to the attention of Derrick the manager at Toyota World. He bought to me the replacement that would cost $335.00 including labor to install the taillight assembly. and indeed I did not need the entire brake light assembly replaced. I was charged just $29.95 to replace the incandescent lamp as part of the drivers side brake light. More

The service department, especially Bill Caffee (sp.?) went above and beyond to help me get a time-sensitive repair done, on the spot! Our salesman Ilya, was new at the job, but did his level best and we were very satisfied with his efforts, and will definitely return for our next Toyota! I am from Japan, and I of course know of and expect the quality of vehicle and spirit of customer service that Toyota is famous for. The only thing I didn't care for was the sales managers "confidence" and seeming unwillingness to negotiate. Honestly, it came across as arrogance to me. While I think Toyota products are superlative, I think the manager didn't reflect the spirit of Toyota in a modest way. however, that gentlemen did do everything to help us and I am thankful for that. More
