I usually think of purchasing a new car as similar to having to have major dental work done. It's something I really, really dislike doing. However, when I wandered into Newark Toyota World recently to having to have major dental work done. It's something I really, really dislike doing. However, when I wandered into Newark Toyota World recently to browse Highlanders and Rav4's (not really sure what I wanted), I had the pleasure of meeting Chris Delpeche. (He has the first desk on the left when you come in the front door.) Chris definitely changed my mind about the whole buying experience! He listened to my concerns and wants in a new car and quickly figured out that despite having an 8 year old Highlander, the new revamped Highlander would be too big for me to comfortably handle. He suggested I try out a Rav4. Before we headed out for a test drive, he was incredibly patient in explaining the car's features. After the test drive of a 4 cylinder, he suggested I try the 6 cylinder. He made sure I had enough time driving with each vehicle to really get the feel of them. There was no "buying pressure", simply a concerned, caring sales professional who wanted to make sure I would be happy with my choice in the long-term. He quickly found the color and style Rav4 I wanted from another dealer, and I was able to take delivery in a couple of days. Once again at delivery time he was tremendously patient in making sure I understood all the features, and even programmed my iPhone to the Bluetooth (something I would not have been able to do). And, the paperwork portion of the sale was the fastest I've ever been through - incredibly efficient! Thanks to Chris's patience and professionalism, it was a GREAT buying experience and I would highly recommend Chris Delpeche when you are looking to buy a new car! More
