I was in the market for a new car so I called Nemet Motors. the customer service rep that assisted me "Dawn Torelli" was most helpful. I wasn't sure exactly what I wanted but her friendly demeanor coup Motors. the customer service rep that assisted me "Dawn Torelli" was most helpful. Nemet Motors Hillside Ave. Jamaica NY = FAIL I would not Nemet Motors Hillside Ave. Jamaica NY = FAIL I would not give them anything more than 0 on a scale of 1 – 5 bc of the following experience There are Nemet Motors Hillside Ave. Jamaica NY = FAIL I would not give them anything more than 0 on a scale of 1 – 5 bc of the following experience There are so many things that made my experience with this car company bad and nothing positive I will do my best to sum up what went wrong 1st I went through truecar.com to eliminate any nonsense with the new car experience that anyone who buys or leases deserves, after all they want OUR business, we are the customer… I received a call from Steve Kirtman promptly initially but all the things that he promised (mostly no nonsense) never came to fruition He could not even call me back the numerous times he said he would and failed to deliver anything but a true runaround for the pricing of a car I was considering getting in to. All he had was excuses and a confrontational attitude. My conversations with him (after I kept calling him back to follow up) were complete waste of time he would say things that are completely untrue one example is Truecar.com does not show any lease estimate info (despite me explaining that I was looking at it while I was speaking with him) and he would get hostile about it thus creating a hostile conversation - again not the new car experience. 2nd I received a few emails from the GM Sharon McAvoy but I could not even reach her to discuss the car and resolve any garbage. Numerous phone calls had gotten me the following Directed to a different person multiple times A false extension of 4238 that came up as invalid extension when I tried leaving a voice mail A debate from the secretary whether the extension was valid after I informed her that the extension was not working multiple times and how I should proceed She informed me that I was not doing it correct to keep trying (seriously) After numerous attempts at that extension she promised that she would hand deliver my contact info to Sharon and a promise she would contact me shortly (never called me) At this point I am not even sure Sharon McAvoy exists Steve just kept his nonsense up he called me this morning and we spoke for @ 1 minute and he explained hostilely and curtly that the truecar lease estimate is wrong and that I should not go by it completely disregarding the fact that he argued with me the day before that it did not exist and I was not seeing the info I stated and led to me saying to him we are done bc I can’t even speak with you without you being condescending. Above is just a small summary of my experience with Nemet Motors not only would I not purchase a car from them but I am looking at different cars altogether. Well done Nemet now I have an answer if anyone ever asks me where not to go for a car etc. or who is the absolutely worst dealership I dealt with Anyone looking for a car etc. would be best served going to Truecar.com or car.com to get the real numbers as these “sales people” are only that. It occurs to me that they barely no their job and fail when it comes to the customer or customer service. I based the above on the fact that: The GM failed me The Sales person failed me The secretary failed me Enough is enough there are better companies to deal with and a company like Nemet is NOT one of them More
Horrible experience on 10/24 with Nemet. I walked in on-time for a 2pm appointment to buy a 2014 Kia Sorento. My appointment was with Gerry. I called ahead and asked them to move the car from their gara on-time for a 2pm appointment to buy a 2014 Kia Sorento. My appointment was with Gerry. I called ahead and asked them to move the car from their garage in Belmont so I could see it before signing up paperwork to which they agreed and told me it would only take 30 minutes. I get there and Gerry is busy with another customer so he passes my folder over to another salesmen name Argenis. Okay, that's fine. At 2:30pm they tell me they're moving the car over so we can see it. At 2:45pm we submit the paperwork for the loan application process. They say it's going to take a bit (an hour) because "We have Nemet Kia, Nissan, all these other dealerships selling cars right now." Fine, that's okay with me. They convince me to give them the downpayment so that they can show it to the bank. We do. It was 10% of the car. Once we do that, they ask us to take out insurance on the vehicle we were looking at. I call GEICO and do that. The time is 4:15pm. He tells us to go get something to eat while the banks get back to us. We still haven't seen the car. We go out to get something to eat and at 5:15pm, we get a call back from the Dealership that they won't be able to get the deal done today because the banks are closed and the DMV is closed. I tell them we are going to go back and talk to them in person. At this point, I'm extremely upset because I have been there since 2pm, and have gotten nowhere. We sit down, and are asked to wait again for another 10 minutes before anyone approaches us. Time: 5:45pm. We're finally told after being at the dealership for 4 hours that they won't be able to make it happen until the next day when they can call the banks up themselves and talk to them. They ask us to come back again and that it'll be a 20-50 minute process (bull-crap, when we came in for our appointment, we were told we'd be about by 5-6pm with a car ready to go). I asked to speak to the Sales Manager (Raymon) and he immediately says he's doing me a favor by selling me the car and that just makes me furious. At this point its well into 6pm, I have yet to see the car I was looking for and I am totally over it. I asked for my money back and for them delete me from their CRM system. They will give you one price and when it comes time to honor it, they will try every trick in the book in hopes of not. They dragged their feet the entire time. I suggest going to Guiffre Kia, Karp Kia in Long Island, Tenafly Kia in New Jersey, or Yonkers Kia. All of them have 4.5+ ratings and seem to be in the business of selling cars. Avoid Nemet, go somewhere else where they won't waste your day, act like sleazy people, and truly value your business. More

I asked for him personally because as a woman I was a little wary of all car dealers. Igal greeted me with a happy-go-lucky attitude, and it stayed that way from beginning to end. NO PRESSURE!! Safety was most important to me, obviously with price, and all was so smooth. I was leaning toward a Camry, but the features and price of the Optima made me give it a look. The test drive was "real", Igal tok me up a big hill, with curves and bumps, not just a straight even road. I felt like a sister being advised by his brother!!. The deal was great, and the biggest surprise was being called after I took the car and signed when I received a call from Igal to make sure all was great. It was great, not just good. More
The dealer is very deceptive and will tell you anything to purchase the vehicle. When there is an issue they will be eager to offer help but not actually help you in a resolution of the matter. I was baited and switched on a feature which was supposed to be in the car and the dealer will do nothing to resolve the matter. Use more reputable KIA dealers in better neighborhoods and make them test EVERYTHING on your brand new or used vehicle More
I secured my loan from the bank prior to my arrival . I had to take a taxi home twice because my approved check was not used and my credit was ran by the dealer ! When I was contacted to pick up my purchase , I was made to wait 5 hours only to find out , my credit was checked and approved by the dealer ! At 9 pm , my previously approved check from my bank , was unable to be verified to spite showing salesman upon my arrival the previous day . Never in history is a cash sale so slow ! It took 3 visits , 11 hours to close the deal ! Lost work time . The vehicle was priced right , but the service deserves a 1 out of 10 . More
I have bought two cars from Nemet Motors one used the other new. When I bought my used car there they didn't let me pay the car in full so I got stuck financing the car with a bank called Drive America r other new. I got screwed royally, an APR of 24.9 percent, which is illegal in NY state. The rate in NYS is about 16 percent. So I traded in the used car for a new 2013 Sonata but the dealer didn't let me choose the one I wanted, so I got stuck with a Sonata GLS model, I can finally say I found a good dealer and I traded my GLS for a fully loaded Sonata Limited, the difference between the two is night and day. In one you look blah and in my Limited I look respectable and comfortable the way I should have felt the first time around. Also this dealer adds a lot of fake fees and things like nitrogen filled tires(which is false, they only do that to high performance cars) so I got charged over $500 for regular air. Almost every review for Nemet is fake except for the low scoring ones, they also have many lawsuits against them, some not even in NYS where they are located. More
I was hesitant to go to Nemet Kia because I read some horrible reviews online.I made the decision to call Scott, the owner to discuus those fears and concerns. I told him that the bad reviews were encouraging me to go elsewhere, farther from my home.He was lovely on the phone and apologized for those reviews.He promised I would be treated with respect and have a good experience.Scott put his Senior salesman Mitch on the phone and he was wonderfully encouraging.He said"just come in and give me a chance to change your mind" The rest is history,I felt that I made two friends at Nemet Kia,Mitch and Thomas.I felt calm and happy through the whole experience.Never pressured ,never stressed.I knew what I wanted and what I didnt,which model,what extras.it was a breeze.I knew what price I wanted! What I didn't know was that it would be the best experience I could have buying a car,except for my first car a Nissan Sentra.Guess what ?That too was purchased at NEMET AUTOGROUP,35 years ago! My new car is a Kia Soul purchased at NEMET KIA,Go there if you are serious about buying a new car, I am delighted I called NEMET!I lOVE MY SOUL! Nancy Rosemarin Calvin More
I came to Nemet after trying to buy a car at Karp Kia in Long Island. I had made two trips to Karp and I was ready to close the deal on the third and final trip. They kept saying "..We're so close" and "we can't go that low or we won't make any money" and they tried this and that and I told them I would go to Nemet and see what they could do. They assured me that Nemet couldn't do anything for me and I am not going to get the deal that I wanted. I shook their hands and I left and went straight to Nemet. The first person to greet me was Clarence and I told him what happened at Karp and the price that I wanted. He checked with his manager and he said they could do this deal if I was ready. My pen was in my hand already and I signed, I was given the keys, and I was out the door with a brand new Kia Sorento SX happy as a pup in new grass! No haggling, no gamesmanship, no stress, no BS. Clarence was professional, friendly, very accommodating, and his follow up was on point. I had a great experience at Nemet because of Clarence and will definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a Kia. More
