I felt like I was in a snaek pit all the time I was at the dealer. No numbers offered just constantly pushing into financing when I said I wanted to buy the used car with cash within the first minute of a the dealer. No numbers offered just constantly pushing into financing when I said I wanted to buy the used car with cash within the first minute of arrving at the dealer. One colleague later told me that she was ticked into paying for a 2000 dollar service plan and when she took the car in she found out it did nto even include an oil change. This is not BMW I understand but Nemet is not honest. More
Couldn't get a straight answer about the "total" price for several HOURS! When I finally got to talk to the finance guy, they tried to jack up the price with a $2000 "package" that had neve "total" price for several HOURS! When I finally got to talk to the finance guy, they tried to jack up the price with a $2000 "package" that had never been discussed with me and that I didn't want. I told them I wanted to cancel the deal and was presented with a form that indicated I would be charged a $750 cancellation fee, another thing no one had previously mentioned. Then, the sales manager said he would do the deal without the package but only if I paid an additional $900 for the car. I eventually paid $500 more for the car, because my only other choice was to spend $750 for nothing. Absolutely misleading advertising was also behind this problem, but the real issue was the deceptiveness of the sales manager. More
I went to the dealer and spoke to one of the salesman about a particular car I've always wanted. We negotiated for an hour and finally agreed (or i assumed that we'd agreed) on a price. Even the sales ma about a particular car I've always wanted. We negotiated for an hour and finally agreed (or i assumed that we'd agreed) on a price. Even the sales manager came in and congratulate us with the "final" offer. However, to buy the car with the price we need to finance the car instead of paying it all off. So I agreed and was told that the car is in the warehouse in JFK and if i want, i will need to come back the next day to inspect and test drive the car. They also told me that when i come back the next day, i will need to give them a certified or bank check of my deposit amount. The salesperson even called up my insurance company to verify my info and he made copies of my license and registration, and etc. He even agreed that he will get me a new plates and registration for the car so we don't have to waste time in the DMV. When i came back the nest day to test out the car, everything when smoothly until the in-house finance rep told us that they can not sell the car below invoice price and if I still want the car, I need to pay $3000 more. I was utterly shock! I've never heard of such thing. So I've argued that if they didn't agree on the price, they can at least told me in the beginning that the offer was not accepted. Of course they denied that it was ever accepted and that it was just a proposal, the price was never agreed on??? As a result, I did not get the car. Is not that $3000 i refused to dig in for the car but I am VERY upset that they made me fall into this trap and go through all these hectics in just trying to make me this deal. I feel that the sales person and sales manager had misled me and disappointed me. I regret that i've ever stepped in in this dealership and dealt with such unprofessional people. I vow never to go back to NEMET AutoCenter again!! More
Went to this dealer because it is closer to my home than the one at which I bought my Volvo. Should have realized that this dealership is sub-par because when I went for my appointment - there were no othe the one at which I bought my Volvo. Should have realized that this dealership is sub-par because when I went for my appointment - there were no other Volvo cars in the service area. Only Hyndai, Nissan, Chevrolets. I was there to have a new passenger side mirror installed [after I pre-paid for it - they did not even stock the mirror]. While I was in the waiting room - I overhead complaints from other waiting customers about the number of times they had to bring their cars back for the same problem. After my mirror was installed - it did not function properly. And I took it back - 2nd chance. Did not work again. HOW DIFFICULT IS IT TO INSTALL A REPLACEMENT MIRROR? Finally after the 3rd try and almost 2 weeks later they got is right. Needless to say, they lost my confidence and business. Granted the service rep was very polite - but if you can't get the job done and waste your customer's time - you are going to lose business. This past month - Nemet was featured on a local Channel 2 "Shame on You" report for a very serious financing scam - overchanging a Hyundai SUV customer by almost double the prevailing interest rate on a in-house financing deal for a new car & also forging the associated loan documents. Not just incompetent service - outright Criminal activity at this dealership. More
