I worked with Gentry Mikesell and he’s right when he says, “I’m not your typical salesman.” He looked out for my needs and made sure I got the car I wanted not a car they were trying to sell. Gentry knew his stuff as well, answered all my questions and I got a great deal :) I first started looking for a car in February and didn’t buy until November. Every time I had a question Gentry returned my correspondence quickly and was polite and did not pressure me to hurry up and buy the car already. I found Gentry at Nate Wade Subaru because I was using the Costco Auto Program. And I don't think I would have pursued buying a car if he wasn't so great to work with. I can’t say enough nice things about this dealership. Everyone was very friendly. The business manager, Steve Yates, was very thorough in explaining all the finance options and made me feel at ease with this experience that I usually don’t enjoy all that much. I used the Costco program to purchase my car. From the very beginning of the process, Gentry was helpful, informative and genuinely interested in doing the right thing for me.There was no pressure to buy very beginning of the process, Gentry was helpful, informative and genuinely interested in doing the right thing for me.There was no pressure to buy ANYTHING. I honestly thought they just wanted to do right by me. I was able to test drive three different cars and was able to take as much time as I needed. You folks really helped me with the financing and unfortunately I can't remember your finance officer name, but we had a great visit and he explained everything about the loan and warranty. I've never had that kind of explanation about a loan before or about what I should do to keep the warranty valid. I really appreciated that. The overall experience was very, very positive. Thats for making the process so easy. More
My wife and I decided to purchase a new 2013 Outback 2.5i Premium with the All Weather Package after test driving one at a local dealership in St. George, UT. I sent out multiple requests for information and best prices. I heard back from Gentry at Nate Wade Subaru first with what seemed like a fair price. I heard back from Mark Miller a short time later and even though their invoice price for the car was cheaper they had not given me a quote for my trade. I believe that in the end both dealerships would have been within $100 or so with Mark Miller being offering the better price and two years of free maintenance. That almost made the deal, however Gentry was upfront and quick with his responses & honest for the most part (I am assuming this, because the car I purchased came from Mark Miller and not Young Subaru like was stated, but when it's all said and done I don't care where the car came from). Gentry was friendly and communicated the exact information I was looking for. Findlay Subaru in St. George was $200 more out the door and the car wasn't equipped the way I would have liked... The salesmen were nice at Findlay; however they lacked customer service skills and lost the deal because of it. Emily Cyrier was extremely nice and knowledgeable as she completed our walk around. She showed us a couple of features that I knew nothing about, but if there was something that needs improving it was the professionalism that goes with deliving a new vehicle to their owners. Steve Yates was nice and easy to deal with, but for the most part was your typical finance guy (not saying that's a bad thing). I would purchase from Nate Wade again and I would refer them to friends and family, but I would still shop around until I felt comfortable with the price… More
I happened upon Nate Wade Subaru by accident. I was searching on line for a commuter used car, good on gas, good in winter, and Subaru kept popping up in searches. I saw a Forester at Nate Wade with low miles and sent an email asking a few questions. I have never owned a Subaru, and was still looking at other things, however the response I got back from Gentry Mikesell was friendly, genuine, and QUICK. I fully understand that these folks sell cars for a living, but I honestly felt as though Gentry was more interested in helping ME than in selling a car. The experience was so refreshing that I stopped looking elsewhere and bought this car -- fair price, car in great shape, and I was surprised by how buying a used Subaru suddenly made me part of this strange extended family/club/whatever of people who own a Subaru. My wife said to me as we were waiting in the (lounge? waiting room? I don't know what to call it but it was a comfortable place to sit and wait for them to work on some paperwork, etc.) -- so, waiting in this area she told me "This is the best experience we have ever had working with a dealer." She was right. It was easy, quick and painless. A friendly no-nonsense experience. The end result - I have already told several people of my fantastic experience at Nate Wade and I fully plan to return for any service dept. needs and for the next time I need a car. More
