Very attentive dealership, Miguel was awesome and also the sales manager. "Detail" was sub-par, could of up sale on aftermarket wax process, if basic detail was good. I have worked in new/used car sales the sales manager. "Detail" was sub-par, could of up sale on aftermarket wax process, if basic detail was good. I probably would have bought a car here, they had exactly what I was looking for; BUT the salesperson I spoke to seemed uninformed and the person he referred me to seemed uninterested in whether I bought the what I was looking for; BUT the salesperson I spoke to seemed uninformed and the person he referred me to seemed uninterested in whether I bought the car or not.. So I purchased it my car at Grand. That took longer than it should have as well, but at least they pretended to care. More
I inquired about a pre-owned Subaru 'certified' car posted on the Napleton Subaru website and asked for information on the total selling price. The internet responder (Serena) was not willing to share posted on the Napleton Subaru website and asked for information on the total selling price. The internet responder (Serena) was not willing to share 'bottom line' pricing over the internet but said "we are usually the lowest priced . . . With that said we are open to negotiation!" With this input I schedule a visit at the location where the rep was located & the car was to be located. When I arrived the car was not on premise.A different sales rep showed me a similar car (different color) & proceeded to advance the conversation on this different vehicle. Evidently the car I inquired about & set up the appointment for was located at the Napleton Palatine dealership site. I indicated that I really came to see & drive the vehicle I found on the internet at which time he mentioned that all 'certified' vehicles get an additional $1,500 fee added to the internet price. This seemed odd & should have been disclosed up front when I asked for pricing information. So here I am in what has turned into a 'bait and misinformtion' situation. At this point I shared that I preferred not to do business with a company that uses such misleading and deceitful tactics. I left the dealership. Later that day I received a call from the manager of internet reps located at their Palatine dealership (Alysha). I explained the situation & she asked if she could get back to me after she escalated this matter up to management in an effort to make things right. Due to my interest in this car I shared that I would look forward to her return call. A couple hours later she called and shared that her sales manager agreed that the 'certified' fee would not be applied if I would like to purchase the car for the price posted on the internet. I asked her to prepare an invoice detailing the total price for review before I made another visit. She agreed and said she'd work out the details and forward the invoice. Shortly there after I received a call from the Palatine Subaru Sales Manager (Theo) stating that he would not sell the car without the 'certified' add on fee. I asked why he would have agreed to this earlier with the Alysha & did not respond. I asked if he could have Alysha join us on the phone call &he shared she was not available. I asked that he locate Alysha so we could have a 3-way conversation to better understand why they would not honor his earlier commitment. Theo never called back. Later that day I received an email (title "We Value Your Business") from the General Manager of the Palatine Subaru dealership (Steve Napleton). In his note Steve stated " I just wanted to thank you for your recent visit. We want to make sure that all of our clients are treated with courtesy and respect, as well as provided the information and opportunity for you to have a hassle-free purchasing experience. If there is anything that I can do to help you, please contact me personally". In nice way . . . I shared with Steve that my visit was anything but a hassle-free experience and that if he was interested in learning more about my 'customer unfriendly' visit that I was . . . "willing to invest a bit more time helping you become aware of the challenges your customers face". Mr. Napleton did not reach back out to me to further this discussion. I wasted several hours traveling, visiting and corresponding with the team members at the Napleton Subaru dealerships in Schaumburg and Palatine. Clearly the experience I had with their 'bait and misinform' sales technique speaks volumes about their deceitful business practices. I write this review so others are not baited into one of these 'used car selling techniques' used by the Subaru dealerships in Schaumburg and Palatine. Visits with them are likely to end up being a Waste of Time. More

I would recommend having a lawyer with you when buying a car. The GM at this facility does not follow the law he makes his own it appears . Not a facility I would trust. Was contacted by the dealership on 3 30 2033 with a New 2023 Subaru Impreza hatchback premium trim msrp $25535.00 I was interested in. I went for a test drive 3 30 2023. When i attempted to purchase the car it was already promised to another customer. I then negotiated a deal on a new 2023 Subaru Impreza hatchback premium in White with black interior msrp $25403.00. I was told delivery would be 4 12 2023. The dealership has my deposit. The delivery was updated to 4 16 2023. Neither date was met. I was told my car was available for delivery 4 21 2023. When my wife and i went to pick up the car the car they tried to deliver to me was Silver and had 150 miles on the odometer. We did not accept the car. I do not pay $1020.00 destination charge and then have the car driven for whatever reason the dealer had. 4 24 2023 the GM told me he could get the white with black interior but it would have 150 to 200 miles on it. Unacceptable and not what I agreed to in my purchase. The dealership is no longer responding to my request for the car i purchased and has not answered the question regarding the vehicle promised for 4 12 2023. I have never dealt with a dealership like Napleton Palatine Subaru and would recommend to stay away. They have not completed the legal contract they made with me. More
We worked with Joe Mcavoy to find out Subaru Ascent. He was great and made the situation painless. No gimmicky sales tactics. We did go there on a Saturday night and the only downfall is that I feel we didn’t get a lower interest rate because the bankers were gone for the day. The finance manager got us a rate and said he’d call up the banks Monday morning to try and get a better rate but I don’t see much incentive for him to do that. So I’d recommend going earlier in the day. More
