Mungenast St. Louis Acura

My wife and my experience at Dave Mungenast has been the best I have had with any dealership over 34 years of purchasing cars. It was truly exceptionsl. Everyone was a joy to work with. I would especially like to recognize Greg Kuhn and Terry Kuelker who both helped us in the sales/purchase process. We visited several times and I made initial contact with Terry on my way home from work one night. At the time we did not know what brand or model of vehicle we really wanted. We were considering several. Terry showed me both new and a few preowned Acuras. I was not ready to test drive but really had a great first impression of Terry, the dealership and the vehicles. Terry had sold an Acura to my mother several years ago and a past employeer who I have a lot of respect for was a repeat customer. I left with a brochure and next time came back with my wife. She did not think we could afford an Acura so I surprised her by driving by and dropping in. Terry was out so we met with Greg Kuhn and test drove the TL and TSX. Greg was great and made sure we had plenty of time to drive and get a feel of the vehicles and features. We really liked the Acuras but also looked at and drove several other vehicles. Finally we narrowed down between the Honda Accord and the Acura TSX. We looked over the various brochures and visited the web sites of the vehicles we were considering. A few days later we went back to Acura and met again with Greg and test drove both the TL and TSX. Greg was very generous with his time to make sure we understood everything and that we put the car through its paces on the highway and on curvey roads too. Besides the normal things we especially tested the back leg room, the nav system, the stereo and even the ipod connection. We used my 5'-11" tall son as back seat test model. He was very comfortable in the back. I gave 6 cylinder the Honda Accord EX leather a last test drive. Well, the 4 cylinder TSX won. While we thought we might need the 6 cyl. the 4 offered plenty of pep for what we needed with better fuel economy than the 6. It was more fun to drive than the 6 cylinder Accord and everything else was a cut above for our taste including the exterior and interior styling, the upgraded nav and stereo systems and overall fit and finish. We decided we wated the Acura. Now to see if we could get it for a price we could live with! We worked with Terry on closing and he made the purchasing/negotiation process a joy; and that is something considering how stressful it can be to make a large purchase like an automobile. Greg delivered the car, once again making sure we understood pretty much everything about it. We were on a schedule to get to a Cardinals baseball game and so Greg was efficient and effective in reviewing the vehicle with us while respecting our time. Never did we feel pressurred by any of the staff. They really made us feel like welcome and respected guests and without hamming it up. Terry and Greg did a truly exceptional job in helping us make our purchase decision, in negotiating the purchase agreement and in delivery. Explanations were thorough and honest. From start to finish we had no desire or reason to look elsewhere. I cannot reccomend Dave Mungenast St. Louis Acra highly enough. P.S. The hands free link, and nav systems and even the stereo systems can do a lot - more than I thought they did - and they are fairly complex. So a few weeks after our purchase Dave Mungenast had an open house for recent owners where they further explained how to set up the hands free link system and use the nav systems. they even set up the hands free wiith us. After a month or so of ownership we love the car and these systems. We took a 650 mile trip recently and thoroughly enjoyed using them. The convenience and safety of the hands free is amazing - should be required safety equipment for cell phone users. I am a bit of an audiophile. The stereo system is fantastic. The best I have heard in any vehicle. Try a CD and it will surprise you. Try an audio DVD and it will blow you away! We love our TSX! More

Customer service was lacking and the high pressure sales pitch was still alive and well. And as a 59 year old woman, I don't appreciate being addressed as "sweetie". John was recommended to me, and I will highly recommend him to anyone interested in buying a car. He went "above and beyond" in customer service to make sure I was satisfied with my purchase from beginning to end. Josh was also very nice to speak with. He worked hard to make sure my monthly payments were within my budget. Even though I wasn't making a huge purchase in comparison to others, he made me feel like I was just as important.
