Dead Battery I was going to use the car Saturday morning to drive from my home in Manchester to Mascoutah, IL and was putting in the navigational driving direction I was going to use the car Saturday morning to drive from my home in Manchester to Mascoutah, IL and was putting in the navigational driving directions when the screens on the dashboard went blank. I tried to start the car but it would not start. All the auxiliary electronics worked including the lights. So, I thought it was the software and not the battery. I told my wife she would have to call Acura in the morning and get it towed to the dealership. The tow truck came within a few minutes. Making the arrangement for the tow was very high tech. The towing driver determined it was the battery and advised my wife to drive immediately to the dealer, which she did. She took a book with her and waited. It took less than two hours to change the battery and to complete an oil change. She was very happy with the service. And the service advisor told her that the push button start cars require more juice to start than the older key crank cars. So, I will know nest time that the auxiliary electronics may still work when I need the battery replaced. More
