I am just stunned at the negligence of this dealership. While searching for a new car I've worked with this dealership twice. Both times were disasters, and I don't understand how they're rated so highly. While searching for a new car I've worked with this dealership twice. Both times were disasters, and I don't understand how they're rated so highly. The first visit was a few months ago to look at a used Mazda6. Now I'm not looking at $60k cars, but also not looking for a cheap car by any means. I made the appointment two days in advance and when I arrived, I stood at the door ignored for 20 minutes. While waiting I watched another salesman be too distracted on his phone to show a walk-in a vehicle, unsurprisingly they left angrily after he pointed them to the lot and told them to go look at it. I finally was met by the associate helping me and was taken to the car. I cannot begin to describe how disgusting this vehicle was. The odor, the food and crumbs on every surface, the sludge DRIPPING from the steering wheel. You can't make this up. I opened the door, sat down, got up, and took the keys right back saying I'm not going to test drive anything that disgusting. They had two days’ notice to give that car a basic cleaning. I left without an apology for my time wasted. The second experience was just this week. I saw a vehicle that I was willing to put a deposit down on immediately - IF I could get anyone to call me back. I completed the application online Monday morning. By the afternoon I called in since I still had not been contacted and spoke with a man who said he'd start working on it and call me right back. By the end of the day, I still had not been contacted so called again, this time I got Will who said the same thing. He'd start working on it and call me right back. No contact by Tuesday morning so I called again. No answer and was sent to a voicemail. Still no contact by late afternoon so I called...AGAIN and was sent to voicemail. I get a text after that call from a number that didn't even give their name saying the vehicle I was interested in sold. I called Wednesday morning to be told by Mariah "someone is working on it" I ask so it has or hasn't been sold? "Well, uh, someone is working on it" Okay, have they put down a deposit? Did they start their application before me on Monday morning? "Someone is working on it". They will not get a 3rd opportunity to get my money. Instead, I will be sure to share my experience with anyone that will listen, because nobody should have to put in more effort than the dealership whom is profiting for doing less work than the customer. On Friday, I discovered that the windshield wiper on the driver's side of my Prius was broken. I needed it fixed quickly, since it was supposed to rain over the weekend. I spoke to a young man in service a driver's side of my Prius was broken. I needed it fixed quickly, since it was supposed to rain over the weekend. I spoke to a young man in service and explained that my problem could probably be solved in a matter of minutes by buying the part and having a technician install it. But he insisted that my only option was to schedule an appointment, and that there were no appointment slots available until the end of the month -- more than three weeks away. He was adamant that I had no other options. I called another Toyota dealer, which also had a full appointment schedule but got me in immediately and solved the problem (it took only a few minutes). Why was this so difficult, Mountain States? I already have a 105,000-mile service scheduled with Mountain States on Aug. 30, and now I'm seriously considering switching to that other Toyota dealer. Customer service? Very disappointing. Common sense? Completely lacking. More
Very unfortunate, but if you are buying from these guys, and you are out of state, don’t bother. They will not take you seriously. I called on a used vehicle without a reply, finally got in contact with a s and you are out of state, don’t bother. They will not take you seriously. I called on a used vehicle without a reply, finally got in contact with a sales rep who did everything I asked, but wouldn’t send me pictures. Not sure why, but just flat out said “the photos on the website are going to be the best pictures” when they are not that great, and I asked for very specific pictures. Never the less, I was highly interested in the vehicle, and made that very clear to him. I asked him to send me numbers the next day, which he did, the numbers looked exactly how I wanted them to look. The manager even signed the document with the numbers on it. So, I asked what we had to do to seal the deal. Didn’t get a reply right away, but the sale rep did call me, but stated that they would not hold the vehicle for me, even if I put a deposit on it because, and I quote, “We need to take care of the local people first.” And told me that there was someone else that had come in that morning and looked at the vehicle, and was likely going to come back and buy it later that afternoon. I was very much at a loss for words, but I still offered to wire them the money for the car, I said I would sign documents electronically, I sent them a pre-approval letter from my credit union saying I had no issues getting the money for the car, and I would do whatever I had to do to get the deal done. Sales rep said he would talk to his managers, but didn’t think it would be possible. So, after a few minutes he called back and stated that they would not because “it’s the end of the month and we are such a high volume dealer selling 600 cars a month we just have to get it on the books for this month, and we don’t usually have any one electronically sign docs. But hey! If it’s available Monday maybe we can work something out.” - so I left it at that, and the sales rep texted me an update a few hours later, and stated they sold the vehicle. No apology, just basically a big middle finger. So, save yourself the time and find somewhere else to buy a vehicle if you are out of state. If you live in Colorado, by all means, shop these “people”. They’ll bend over backwards for you, and even sell you a car that someone else is interested in and actively trying to purchase. Absolute joke show, and clear where their priorities are. Hope this helps someone else from wasting their time with this place. More
Beware of their 21 point inspection which does not include telling you your axle is rusting out. Did an expensive repair that would not have been done had we known the axle was rusting, as our car is include telling you your axle is rusting out. Did an expensive repair that would not have been done had we known the axle was rusting, as our car is 18 years old. Got back on the road to Ann Arbor, MI and had to pull over and get the car towed again. Corwin Toyota in NE informed us our rear passenger axle had rusted through. This also could have caused a serious car accident. As this cost $2700.00 we opted to give up the car. Talked with Mountain States about reimbursing us for the repair and it was refused. We always have our car serviced before any trips as well as the 5,000 mile check and our home dealership on 4/22/22 gave the green check mark to our axles. We all know rust does not happen overnight. Someone should be held accountable. So my next step is writing the Toyota Company More

Avoid this dealer, the service department refused to do warranty work, they refused to submit anything to Toyota directly, and on top of this they over torque my oil filter housing which cracked. On top of warranty work, they refused to submit anything to Toyota directly, and on top of this they over torque my oil filter housing which cracked. On top of all this the GM threatened me in the lobby after he refused to help find a path to resolution, and I said I would just take this to court and settle it in a legal way. GM said he would counter sue me! More
I purchased a used 2017 Rav4 - worst car buying experience ever. The salesman, Trey Hughes, said they would fill up the tank and detail the car while I finished financing the car. That was a lie - experience ever. The salesman, Trey Hughes, said they would fill up the tank and detail the car while I finished financing the car. That was a lie - they filled it to half. Trey said their trade amount offered was the highest offer I would get in 500 miles - that was lie. I had a higher offer from another dealership that was 90 miles from them (wishing I went to the other dealership now). I bought this because of the certified Toyota inspection that Trey claimed covered everything. Today the car is at my mechanic's shop because the windshield wiper had water in it (which was visible color difference to my mechanic). The tank and pumps froze because I live in CO and it gets cold. Also, the dealership put a temporary plug in the back passenger tire - after telling me they put on new all weather tires. So I have to buy a new set of tires - cause you can't replace one tire on AWD vehicle. Thank you for cutting corners on a $30K + vehicle. I will never recommend this dealer and strongly advise people to go elsewhere More
Car buying was good even dealing with the finance was good, the service dept was good when i had my windows tinted. However i recieved horrible service yesterday for a basic oil change. Took several week good, the service dept was good when i had my windows tinted. However i recieved horrible service yesterday for a basic oil change. Took several weeks to get an appointment made a 7 am appt for yesterday, checked in quickly, waited over an hour, recieved a dirty truck because apparently they forgot to wash it which is part of the service, no big deal i had somewhere to be so i didnt push it. I checked my oil later in the day only to find the oil was as dirty as it was before i took my tacoma in. So this is a big deal after all the waiting and driving up there they didnt even change the oil. I contacted them earlier today and have not received any kind of call back. If you had an oil change at mountain states recently , you may want to check if the oil looks clean or not. So hard to find dependable work these days. Maybe there was a mistake made and the job was overlooked and returned to me incomplete by accident or maybe this is the kind of service offered at mountain states toyota. Hopefully they will make it right , i will update if they do. More
