Start of a Fantastic Ski Trip We could not find the right color and options on a 2017 Toyota Highlander in our hometown of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. We wanted an all wheel drive mode We could not find the right color and options on a 2017 Toyota Highlander in our hometown of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. We wanted an all wheel drive model in Shoreline blue. Front wheel drive is probably 95% of vehicles sold in Baton Rouge and the Shoreline Blue color was nonexistent locally. Ordering was not an option since the local dealer could not guarantee that the vehicle would be in in time for our trip. Looked all around in the Gulf States region with no success and decided to look in Denver since we were going skiing in mid February. When I opened the Mountain States Toyota website and sorted for Highlanders, the first vehicle we saw was exactly what we wanted. I made an internet inquiry and as soon as I put my cell phone down, I was called by Emily Caldwell from Mountain States Toyota, the internet sales manager. My wife and I expressed our interest and she told me she would be off the next day but Danielle Woodward would be calling us the next morning. After waiting for most of the next day, I called Mountain States Toyota and learned that Danielle was sick and had not come in, she would call the following morning. That morning I discovered the car of our dreams had been sold, needless to say we were heartbroken, however Danielle did call and said all was not lost. She inquired of the factory about cars in the queue that were allocated to Mountain States Toyota and found s Blizzard Pearl Limited Platinum that she got the factory to change the color to Shoreline Blue and add a towing package. We picked up this beautiful car on February 15th thorough the gracious help of Ryan Darensburg who got some options added to the car, met us at the airport and guided through the sales process. Needless to say we have had an awesome experiences, got an upgraded model for a good bit less money than if we had purchased it locally. I would definitely recommend this dealer and sales staff to anyone. More
