Mountain States Toyota (MST) engages in unfair advertising and sales tactics. I purchased a 2005 Camry from them, based on a ad in the Rocky Mountain News. the Ad stated 2005 Camry $13,995 with advertising and sales tactics. I purchased a 2005 Camry from them, based on a ad in the Rocky Mountain News. the Ad stated 2005 Camry $13,995 with $1,000 down. I went in and agreed to purchase the car writing a check for the full amount, more than meeting the $1,000 down. They accepted my check and proceeded to sell me the car. 1 week later, after my check had cleared, they called me, explaining that they made a mistake; in reality I owed them $1,000 more. They claim that the price was 413,995 plus $1,000 down for a real price of $14,995. When I wrote to them telling them that I did not agree with this, they un-leashed their attack dog lawyer who sued me for the extra $1,000.

Beware and do not purchase from Mountain States Toyota, they are not honest business people, in my opinion.
More

Among other things, they tried to change the price and payments of the car I was purchasing numerous times. I only purchased the car because no other dealer within 200 miles had the exact one I wanted and I got a good deal on it. Also, after purchasing the car, I received daily voice messages from a finance manager stating that I owed them more money (when I legally owed them nothing).

Strangely, the salesman I worked with made me feel quite comfortable. Perhaps because he was very new and they hadn't had a chance to corrupt him yet. But everyone else I met there tried to scam me at least once. I would strongly recommend that anyone thinking of purchasing a Toyota look elsewhere before setting foot in this hole.

P.S. The only reason they don't get 1's across the board is that I love my new 4Runner :) More
