I went to three different dealerships and the last was Al Serra....and in this case I saved the best for last. After having such a hard time at other dealerships from them not having what I wanted to being shady on the price. It was refreshing to walk into a place where I actually felt as though they were there to help me. Super nice staff and they all work hard to get you what you need and want!!!! Thank you Al Serra for helping me get my new vehicle! More

great car buying experience Danny is more than fantastic! Definitely not your average salesman just trying to make commission. He was very helpful, listened to all our needs and Danny is more than fantastic! Definitely not your average salesman just trying to make commission. He was very helpful, listened to all our needs and never once tried to show us anything out of our budget. I would recommend him to anyone in the market for a new vehicle. Jem was also great with our financing. We had issues with a different finance manager who had our file on his desk from Friday to Wednesday never once picking it up or starting it. As soon as Jem took over, she had us financed in less than 3 hours with the bank we wanted and a fantastic interest rate. She listened to all concerns we had and helped with gap and extended warranty choices. More
Great experience for out-of-state purchase I saw several Cruze Diesels online that with the exact colors and features I wanted. I reached out to several dealers. Some cars were new, some were I saw several Cruze Diesels online that with the exact colors and features I wanted. I reached out to several dealers. Some cars were new, some were used. Quentin at Al Serra seemed to have the most integrity. We worked out a price that even included a fair price for my trade (I was up front about my car's condition and features). Everything was in writing. When you drive 300 miles to buy a car you always worry there will be some last minute switch. I took a chance. Quentin even called before I left to make sure I knew that when he looked at the car it had a few more miles on it than a typical new transaction (still less than 1000). When I arrived I met a number of friendly people. JP took the lead on the sales floor. To my relief, their paperwork matched mine to the penny. A mistake about the rebates available on my new car was adjusted in my favor, so I paid exactly what we agreed to beforehand. They offered some extras for me to consider, but no hard sell, just FYI. Enough information to make an informed decision. The closing paperwork part was over in 15 minutes. In the end, I love my car. I put over 1500 miles on it in less than a week, returning well over 40 mpg while driving fast enough to get my first speeding ticket in over 20 years. I think they will make a little on my trade, so I trust we both got fair value. I can recommend them, even to other out of town buyers. And no, I am not related to any of these people. I told them I would write up a nice review if I had a good experience. After that, they earned it. More
They WOW-ed Me! Like many of you, I researched for weeks/months, which truck I wanted to purchase. I had made my decision to purchase a Chevy Silverado. I went Like many of you, I researched for weeks/months, which truck I wanted to purchase. I had made my decision to purchase a Chevy Silverado. I went to quite a few dealerships looking at new and used trucks. One dealership showed me a nice Silverado, priced way above market value and would not come down in price. In fact, they made it seem like they were doing me the favor of presenting the truck. I went to another dealership. This dealership was friendly and did a good job talking with me, and appeared to want my business. I asked them to lower the price and they held firm. After leaving that dealership, I got a text or call every day telling me they were lowering the price. I thought to myself, why didn’t you lower the price upfront with me. I went to another dealership, unfortunately I showed up at closing and they told me to come back tomorrow. I asked them to work some numbers, but didn’t get a call back for two days. I finally ended up at Al Serra Chevrolet South. I actually got to walk the lot without being harassed. I met with Kyle, and told him what I was looking for. Kyle proceeded to look at his inventory and find vehicles that matched my needs. Here is the thing that WOW-ed me. Kyle never ask me to walk to a vehicle to look at it. He proceeded to drive the vehicles to the front door under the lights for me to check out. While this was happening, I was introduced to Steve, the General Manager. What a class act! I told Steve my situation, and the experiences I had at previous dealerships. Steve, told me, that my experience at Al Serra would be different. He added, he would shoot straight, and give me the best deal. Steve, was a man of his word. As we worked through the numbers, Steve was very transparent. I didn’t have to haggle or have a back and forth to get a deal done. I even deliberated with myself if I should make the purchase or not. After all, a vehicle is a major purchase. Even though the dealership was well past closing, Steve and Kyle, continued to be patient, reassuring me that they wanted me to be comfortable with the purchase. I ended up purchasing the vehicle, working with Tom the finance manager, who was also awesome, and coming home with a new Silverado late on a Saturday night. Part-two After I purchased the truck on Saturday night, I started to look at accessories, which I needed before a big Spring Break road trip with my family. I called Steve and explained the situation. The service didn’t stop there. Steve got on the horn, arranged for deliveries, and vendors to install my accessories within days, in time for the road trip. I was thoroughly impressed at Steve’s tenacity to get it done, his patience with me as I bugged him several times a day, and his service with a smile. The road trip was a success. Needless to say, I am a HUGE FAN of Al Serra Chevrolet South, Steve, and Kyle. When my daughter needs a car next year, you bet I will be visiting Kyle and Steve. Don’t waste your time at other dealerships that don’t respect your time and money. Go to Al Serra and work with these professionals, who know how to treat you right. More
They killed the their own deal with bad attitude. I was on the market for a mid size truck, after test driving the Tacoma and Frontier, I wanted to check out the Colorado, this little truck is current I was on the market for a mid size truck, after test driving the Tacoma and Frontier, I wanted to check out the Colorado, this little truck is currently hard to come by. I did my research online, and at a few dealers before making up my mind on exactly what I wanted. I also made sure I had done enough research to know what a fair offer was for my trade in. At the time, Al Serra was the only dealership with a Colorado in stock. I went in and met with Josh. Who I must say was really nice to work with. Knowledgeable, pleasant and not too pushy. After the test drive, he asked me to meet his Sales Manager, which is common at dealers. I was really interested in purchasing the Colorado and in this case placing an order, since there aren't any in stock. Steve, the Sales Manager, took a look at my truck, etc, etc. But when he came back with his trade in offer, it was no where near the price I was looking for, heck not even close to fair. I already had a solid offer for my trade in elsewhere, but that was to buy a Tacoma. So I told him about the other offer, and what my intentions were.. His immediate answer was "Well, you should go there and do business with them, I would if I were you"... REALLY that is the kind of answers you immediately give to customers? Even if you are a little ticked at me or don't like me for whatever reason, be a bit more polite and pretend! Needless to say, I walked out that night. Josh, followed up with me the next day and asked me to bring the truck back in for another sales manager to review it. After exchanging a few emails and calls and being clear on the price I wanted for my trade in. I decided to go back in for a second pounding. - By then I was already working with Daniel's Long Chevy on a similar deal, but I was still up to consider either dealership. When I arrived, Josh was nice again. But there was no "other" sales manager. I met with Steve again. His attitude and condescending demeanor is truly what killed the deal. He made me feel stupid for even asking questions. Very arrogant and short answers. HEY STEVE! I am a customer! I don't sale vehicles for a living... I have questions... When I walk in your dealership, I don't want to feel that you don't like me... I want to feel appreciated and supported and if I have the stupidest question ever, I expect you to politely answer and make sure I can make the best decision and earn my business. At the end, while they agreed to consider my business, and came very close to what I wanted for my trade. I just didn't feel comfortable anymore. I took my business elsewhere. I was able to work out the deal I wanted, for the amount I wanted with people who treated me with respect at Daniel's Long Chevy. Thank you Josh for your help! Sorry that Steve killed the deal for you. More
