I had driven a Subaru before. I knew I liked the way the car handled - and the gas mileage - but I didn't know much else. Fortunately, Kevin and Dom are encyclopedic in their familiarity with the Subaru li car handled - and the gas mileage - but I didn't know much else. Fortunately, Kevin and Dom are encyclopedic in their familiarity with the Subaru line. These two have really done their homework and I felt genuine benefit in their abilities to enthusiastically share that information with me. They understood that if I really knew about the value Subaru puts into their cars, I would want to join the legion of Subaru owners. They were right! When I really appreciated their professionalism and authenticity, was when we weren't in agreement and when we had some real issues to work out. It was then that I came to appreciate my good fortune to have encountered your sales team. When I decided to visit the dealership, I expected the sales staff to be an obstacle to my success. That I would have to work around them to get the car and the deal that I wanted. How pleased I was to discover that contrary to my initial expectations, Kevin and Dom really listened and worked to match me with just the right car. They were successful, and it's a beautiful thing. The engine light came on after 150 miles, Replaced alternator. Transmission starts to slip, so back in the shop AGAIN, but this time for 2 weeks. Their cheap warranty company would only pay for a (REB alternator. Transmission starts to slip, so back in the shop AGAIN, but this time for 2 weeks. Their cheap warranty company would only pay for a (REBUILT) transmission. Then (since they couldn't work on the VW they sold me at the Honda dealership) they sent it to Lithia VW in reno who then Replaced the transmission but would not warranty the work, because the parts weren't brand new. This happened again, and my 'new car' sat in the shop for almost 2 months while i waited for another 'authorization' from the warranty company. Then yesterday, i felt the transmission slipping.... this cannot be legal! This car has had a $500.00-$700.00 repair bill every year for 8 years running. The loan was upside-down up until the last payment. $22,000.00 for 72 months i paid for a lemon. No one cared. I begged the CEO to do something. NO ONE CARED. NEVER EVER BUY A CAR FROM THESE PEOPLE. THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING! More

I was happy that Subaru finally came up with a high mileage per gallon model. I love the seatback mats My salesman, Dom, was excellent. He made sure I bought the right model for my needs, explained all the features very well and made the buying experience wonderful. The whole process was no fuss, and I love my new Subaru Impreza and would recommend both Dom and this dealership to anyone. More

When we bought the car we had it for 1 day and it wouldn't start. we had to jump the car to get it to run. After being parked over night it wouldn'tstart the next day. I called the dealership and too wouldn't start. we had to jump the car to get it to run. After being parked over night it wouldn'tstart the next day. I called the dealership and took the car to them. We left it over night. They called and said it was fixed. we took it home and the next day same problem. We couldn't start the car. So jumped it and took it back. They had it for 2 days and then called and said it was really fixed this time. The service department really did a good job and found the problem. A couple of weeks ago we started hearing a very loud noise so we took the car back to the service department. The guys found the problem and said it would cost around $250.00 to fix. It has to be fixed and I told them and the sales people that I was real unhappy about the car. I had just bought it and all ready it has been in the shop at least 5 times. I have no faith in this car I wanted to see if they would trade the car for a better car. One that doesn't have problems before I get off the lot. No one seems to want to do anything to help make this a more happy experiance. The service department is the only ones that have done a really good job. I found out today when I got the car back that I have to take it back again because there is a berring that has to be replaced now...This has been the worse car buying experience of my life and I am 70 years old. Just in case you don't want to read the whole review I'll sum it up here for you; Do not buy a car from these people they will screw you over, leave out info and are just generally all around immoral. If sum it up here for you; Do not buy a car from these people they will screw you over, leave out info and are just generally all around immoral. If you care to read more here is the complete story: On 01/27/12 my wife and I went in to look at cars, we spoke with a salesman who immediately wanted a credit app. No problem here, we expected this because we already knew that we were planning on using Honda's first time buyer program, the salesman said we were a perfect fit because we have no credit history except for a small credit card that we use and pay off each month. So after that was approved we went ahead and test drove a 2012 Honda Civic, nice car, but in the middle of the test drive the salesman tells us it won't work unless we are able to put down $7,000 dollars. Just to preface that last sentence when we got there and did the app they said that we may have to put down 1-2k max which wasn't an issue, but 7k, if I had 7k I would have bought a used car from a private party. So we asked the salesman what we are approved for and he said $14,000, ok, fair enough we can do that. We test drove several cars and then settled on a 2010 Mitsubishi Galant with 35k miles on it, the sticker was 14,999 and it would work with the financing. Perfect...ummm not exactly. We go through all the paperwork meet with the finance guy and get everything all signed and set to go; by the time all is said and done it is 7pm, they wanted us to take the car that evening but since we live an hour away and my wife doesn't have a license we agreed that we would take the bus down to Carson the next day (01/28) and pick up the car, they also needed a few more documents such as references and a few other things which we also said we would bring. On Sat (01/28) we wake up at 6am, get dressed and walk the 2.5 miles to where the bus picks up, we take the 1hr ride and then walk about 1.5 miles from the Fandango to the Dealership. We arrive at approximately 9:30am and go in to talk the Salesman, he tells us the car is being detailed and he didn't like the way they did the windows so he was having them re-do it (typical), we wait and he pulls the car around and I cut them a check for 2k. All of the sudden some guy comes out from the little glass cubicle and tells us that since my wife was buying the car she needed to be on the insurance...ummm, she is listed on my insurance however it's as a non-licensed driver since she only has a drivers permit (she has a European License and is working on the US one now). We explain this again to the guy, we had also spoke with him the evening before and there was no issue what so ever we brought every document they asked for and there was no mention of this. But all of a sudden it's a huge issue and we couldn't take the car unless she had her license...but wait a minute...I have a valid license and I'm the one driving home so what's the problem? We can't add her to the insurance until she has a license otherwise she has to go on as a non-licensed which she already is and has been for a year now. All of this was also explained the night before and I say again there was no issue whatsoever with us taking the car. So this guy says that we have to get her license before we can take the car...now this is a problem because we got up at 6am on a Saturday walked about 3 miles total and now we were stuck in Carson City with no vehicle an hour away from home and the next bus doesn't leave until 3:30pm and it's only 10am right now. Did they offer to take us back home since it was their mistake for not telling us the previous evening? NO THEY DIDN'T! They offered to take us to the Fandango Casino...umm seriously? What are we going to do sitting at a bus stop for 5.5 hours. At this point we had it with them and told them to give us back our check for $2k and they could keep their car, this was their mistake for not telling us the night before and they wouldn't even give us a ride home so now we are stranded in Carson City. Matthew Hohl runs this dealership and I seriously think that he should take a long hard look at how his people are treating their customers because this is an awful deceitful way to do business. I'm also going to find his e-mail address and send him a copy of this review, that way he can look into it himself and see that it is all true...Customer service is not at the forefront, neither is honesty, fair dealings, morality or just plain old doing the right thing. If you are thinking about buying a car use this place as research and then take your business elsewhere, any company that would strand a customer an hour away from home due to their mistake will try to screw you in every other way possible.
