Bad. I would not recommend to anyone The sales reps took full advantage of my situation with my lease and used every tactic in the book from inducing fear to intimidation. Very prompt service. They drove a rental car up to me (185 miles) and they took my car back to fix a wind problem in my car. Promptly fixed the wind problem, filled my ga They drove a rental car up to me (185 miles) and they took my car back to fix a wind problem in my car. Promptly fixed the wind problem, filled my gas tank, and washed my car then drove it back to me. Picked up the rental car and this was all done in three days. Could not ask for any better service! Tried to rip me off for parts and labor I didnt need. I took my vehicle an ML 500 SUV in to get it diagnosed for a rear hatch not opening. They charged me 180.00 for the diagnostic work. They came back I took my vehicle an ML 500 SUV in to get it diagnosed for a rear hatch not opening. They charged me 180.00 for the diagnostic work. They came back and said I needed a new SAM unit and a new module and it would take about 7-8 hours of labor to replace them. That it would cost me over $2000.00 with parts and labor. I picked up my vehicle and took it to another shop with trained Mercedes mechanics. They came back and said I needed a new latch on the door and the SAM unit and module were working fine and did not need to be replaced. They also showed me where those units are located in the rear of the vehicle and that they are easy to get to and had I needed them it would only be 1-2 hours of labor to replace them not 7-8 hours. I feel that Mercedes Of Rocklin tried to defraud me and get me to buy parts and labor I did not need to fix my rear hatch. I called them and told them I wanted the 180.00 I paid them for the diagnostic work and the woman who is supposed to handle customer complaints was very snotty and told me that the computer said I needed those parts and that some how driving it 4 miles to the other shop those parts somehow miraculously fixed themselves. I made a complaint with the Bureau of Automotive Repair for fraud. More
Once you buy the car, they follow thru with nothing. Was told by salesman, Tony, (in writing) that the acquisition fee was $750. I even verified this with Mercedes after the fact. However, the sales manager (James) insisted on it being $1050, stating that it’s always been that price. Not true. Was told I was being charged $1,100 over invoice for price of car as that’s what the discount is for Costco members. Found out that I was not given $1,100 over, rather about $2,000 over instead. I should’ve insisted on seeing the invoice once car arrived. Instead, I took his word for it. The biggest issue I had was when the sales manager told me that I could call back within a few days after signing contract to add the pre-paid maintainence on to my car. I wanted to talk with my husband about it first. I chose to buy this and called dealership, but my salesman was out of town. They told me I would need to talk to finance since he wasn’t available. No answer in finance, so I left a message. No return call. Left another message 4 days later. Again, no return call. I texted my salesman, Tony, and told him I had left messages. He said no problem, I’ll take care of it. This is also in writing. I then called back later that day and spoke with Robby, explaining the situation. He assured me he would get some answers and call me back. AGAIN, no return call. Then I call back again 3 days later and speak to a female in finance, explaining the entire thing again. She says she would get some answers and call me the following morning. You guessed it. No return call. I will never refer anyone to their dealership, nor will I take my car there for service. More
