I was not looking for a vehicle; I was helping my girlfriend look for a vehicle and I suggested we look at a Mercedes-Benz since we were driving past a dealership. We test drove a GLB and after looking at some vehicles, let's just say Mercedes-Benz found me! I am a detail person, and it was the details that hooked me, reinforced by watching some YouTube videos of some of the models being made in the Germany plants. That unnamed dealership ghosted me, so I went to Owings Mills where I was introduced to Reza and found open arms to help in factory ordering a vehicle that is not even available in the USA yet. After Reza walked me through the options, even showing me a configuration page the other dealer did not show me, I had a build sheet to think over. My son is out of state with my ex-wife so I do a lot of highway driving to pick him up on alternating weekends for father/son quality time. As a 36-year volunteer firefighter/EMT, safety is important to me and there are crazy drivers on 695 and the NJ turnpike so I wanted every safety feature available for those trips and with him in the back seat... along with some convenience features. It was near closing time and Reza did not rush me at all. On the way out, Reza introduced me to the sales manager, Tony Pozderac. I had worked Tony on my current Jeep at a Jeep dealership! Tony asked who my Jeep salesperson was and I told him it was Tim Deinlein... for 2 Jeeps. Tony says "hold on a moment"... and out walks Tim! I knew I was in good hands at Owings Mills Mercedes-Benz with both of them now working there! I went back the following week to put in the order and Reza was outstanding in patiently walking me through the process... until sales manager Robb came over to deliver bad news on some features the ordering system flagged. Jennifer Aniston could have delivered the news and I wouldn't have liked her that day, I almost walked out but Robb said he would contact the factory so I left him at his word. The issue was no fault of the dealership. Very long story short - Reza, Tony, and Robb went WAY above and beyond to spec the vehicle I desired. Tony, as polite and professional as ever, called to make sure everything was correct. All it was missing was the rear climate controls to keep peace in the back but that isn't available in the US. I will write another review on the buying process once the vehicle arrives, but the ordering process was off the charts - these folks at Owings Mills Mercedes are truly top notch and an easy 5* across the board.
