POORLY TREATED CUSTOMER!! I was working with Ben Harwood on the purchase of a 2017 Chevrolet Corvette Z06. Many e-mails and text messages were exchanged due to my residence be I was working with Ben Harwood on the purchase of a 2017 Chevrolet Corvette Z06. Many e-mails and text messages were exchanged due to my residence being in VA and the need to have the vehicle transported. I was also trading in my current Corvette toward this purchase. On the evening of 9/5/18, I received an e-mail from Ben stating that he and his manager had met and figured out the trade-in value of my Corvette. Ben said the only thing left to do was to figure out the transport logistics. The very next morning, 9/6/18, I emailed and texted Ben to state that I wanted to place a “good faith” deposit on the 2017 Corvette to secure it, as I intended to purchase it. Ben replied that someone would be e-mailing the deposit authorization form shortly. Ben also congratulated me on my new purchase. Approximately 25 minutes later, I checked my e-mail for the deposit form. To my shock and horror, I instead received an e-mail from Ben stating that the vehicle had just sold. There is only one word for this sort of business practice, and that is “Shady”. This was my first time ever doing business with a Mercedes-Benz dealership, and I expected “top notch” professionalism. Instead, the treatment I received was what I would expect from some “fly by night” used car sales. More
