I noticed on Saturday (the next day) only the rear passenger door would lock with the keyfob. I texted the salesman Saturday and said only one door would lock. Kristian proceeded to tell me you bought this car without a warranty but I will have a manager call you on Monday. Noone called on Monday,no follow-up from the dealer at all. Three door actuators were bad on this car to the tune of $800 to fix out of my pocket. The dealership is not someplace I would recommend to anyone to buy a vehicle. Do not trust them to do the right thing More
Purchased a used vehicle on December 8th. Used digital methods to sign and wire transfer of money. After about 4 weeks and no title or registration(paid for up front) so I called county treas Used digital methods to sign and wire transfer of money. After about 4 weeks and no title or registration(paid for up front) so I called county treasurers office. They had no record of receiving them. Called Mercedes of Des Moines to make them aware of this situation, but as usual just got a voicemail to leave my message with no return call. Now with expired temp tags and another call to county treasurers office, they informed me the dealership is required by law to submit this back within 30 days of the purchase, obvious lack of business ethics or responsibility.. Recorders office offered to call M of DM and try to resolve or they would send an Auditor to the business. Turns out they sold me the vehicle without having the title! The previous owner still had it. After about 50 days and the threat of law, I finally received what was due. Very dissatisfied with lack of follow up and issue resolution. YOU SUCK !! Amir was the salesperson and no longer listed as an option,, but this experience... he probably is working for a better company as he was the only positive in this transaction. Only name due to requirements to submit a review....! The rest of ya might be gone or should be! More
We purchased a used Mercedes GLK 350 from Mercedes Benz of Des Moines. During the test drive, we noticed the car shaking and the left rear lamp that remained on at all times. We asked the salesperson, Davi of Des Moines. During the test drive, we noticed the car shaking and the left rear lamp that remained on at all times. We asked the salesperson, David Cardenas, about these perceived issues. He assured us that these items had been addressed during the inspection and he stated 1.) neither were an issue; “they both passed inspection with flying colors” and 2.) the issue with the rear lamp was a European setting. Buying a reliable car was super important to my fiancé and I because we are soon moving across the country for military service. David doubled down on his previous statement saying that Mercedes of Des Moines would never sell an unreliable car to tarnish their reputation or to a military member. After purchasing the car, the vibrations worsened. We took the car to a local mechanic who ran tests and found the vibration was caused by a broken intake manifold and multiple codes attached to the left rear lamp remaining on. Immediately, the mechanic told us that we got screwed in this purchase. I scheduled a service appointment at Mercedes of Des Moines and during that time I worked with Sales Manager John Rowold and Service Representative Ben Knudson. Once the service was completed, it was mentioned to me that it was not the intake manifold causing the vibrations but rather the engine motor mounts. Ben Knudson said that the service foreman remembered my car and told him that this problem was indeed listed on the inspection report. I immediately asked for the inspection report on my car and once it was provided to me, the motor mount issue was never listed on the report. They then produced a document from the initial inspection report once the car was received at the dealership and the problem of “bad engine vibration – motor mounts” was crossed out and never made it to the customer facing inspection. The Sales Manager John then went on the defensive and stated that since I did not include the dealership addressing the car shaking in my original deal, and bought the car “as is” there is nothing that the dealership has to do for me moving forward. Once I started to mention how extremely scummy hiding car problems was to customers, John stood up and started walking away. I had to follow him to make sure I got copies of the customer facing inspection that did not list the motor mount issue, the initial inspection that mentioned the motor mount issue causing the vibration, the service quote for $5,305.34, and the quote that I provided from my outside inspection. I cannot believe Mercedes of Des Moines continues to hold a reputation of selling reliable cars. My fiancé and I feel extremely taken advantage of and we do not believe that this car will be able to make the trip cross country to our active duty post. I am now working with a legal team to work through my options. More

We were looking to purchase a 2018 Toyota Highlander. During test drive I mentioned there was a grinding noise. Our sales rep Christian firestein said that it was normal with cars that haven't been driven in a while. I wanted to get it looked at, and he said "if anything comes up you are covered by our warranty for 60 days". So I went ahead and made the purchase. 20 days later we were able to finally get in at Toyota and they mentioned the rear rotors were grooved from rust. They recommended grinding down the rotors and replacing the break pads on the rear. As it would damage the break pads. I reached out to Ryan Winroth at Mercedes Benz of Des Moines and they refused to cover it, saying I didn't sign anything specific and it was sold "as-is". Yet they never disclosed any issues with the car, even stating their mechanics looked it over. I wish I had taken more time and refused to purchase the car without a full inspection. Why would I have paid extra money to get the car looked at if Mercedes Benz wasn't going to cover anything?!?! I feel cheated and the dealership was dishonest with me. I probably should have known better and stuck with the assumption that all dealerships are slimy unless proven otherwise. I would not recommend purchasing a car here or any lithia dealership. More

For two years I've been looking for a 2013 to 2014 Ford F150 Raptor. I wanted the luxury package, Retrax bed cover & liner. And, if possible, a Roush supercharger with the Roush pipes. My perfect pick up. F150 Raptor. I wanted the luxury package, Retrax bed cover & liner. And, if possible, a Roush supercharger with the Roush pipes. My perfect pick up. I've seen about a handful of such pick ups nationwide but something was always amiss. In particular, the dealerships prior to Mercedes-Benz of Des Moines didn't help me much. This all changed once I found the truck of my dreams at the Des Moines dealership. The salesman David Cardenas & his manager Ryan Winroth helped me every step of the way in securing my Raptor. More
