Brian and Ferd were extremely friendly and made me happy about my purchase! They were knowledgable, and honest I didn't feel like they were just trying to make a sale. I exchanged emails with Niccolo Brown, concerning the vehicle that I was interested in. Being an out of town buyer, I wanted to make sure the vehicle was still available before I made the 3 hour drive. I vehicle that I was interested in. Being an out of town buyer, I wanted to make sure the vehicle was still available before I made the 3 hour drive. Instead of waiting until the Saturday I had originally told Niccolo. I decided to go that Thursday, when I talked with Ferd Maloney he assured me that the vehicle was still there, and that he will see me when I arrived. From the time I hit the parking lot. Ferd greeted me with a welcoming smile and asked me how was my drive. He backed the car up so that I could see everything the car had to offer. Then he asked me if I had seen the carfax report. I said yes I did when proceeded to show me again. I really did appreciate him showing me the report again, not that I had missed anything, but because it showed me did he really did care. I told Ferd that I was in a hurry, because I wanted to get back on the road.He assured me that they would hurry the car buying process. After signing few documents, Ferd said I'll have to walk you over to our other building to finish signing the remaining documents. He and the other staff there were very attentive, asking we wanted refreshments while we waited. Then I was handed off to Fran King. She was friendly and very easy to talk to.She made sure I understood every document I was signing. Being that I wasn't from the area I asked her about any bbq restaurant in the area. When she began read the rating because she had not been to the one closest to the dealership. The following day I received an email from Niccolo thanking me for my purchase. I don't like the whole car buying process, but I met great people. I would definitely make that drive again for my next purchase. Keep up the great work. More
I first contacted the dealership to make sure the car I was interested in (a pre-owned Ford Escape) was still available. Sales Manager Ron Howard took my call and was very accommodating re: having the car was interested in (a pre-owned Ford Escape) was still available. Sales Manager Ron Howard took my call and was very accommodating re: having the car ready for me to see when I arrived. Sales Associate Nic Brown greeted me and assisted me with great kindness (as I was injured in an accident during which my car was totaled and I had splints. etc. on). Nic brought the car around and impressed me with his knowledge of the Ford Escape, despite his being a new/used sales associate for Mercedes-Benz. Even though mine was not a "high end" prospective sale, Nic was in no rush during the test drive, answered my questions and also kindly spoke of other things we had in common (where we went to high school, common interests, etc). He is truly a people person- but, importantly, a sincere person....We discussed (minor) things that I would want should I buy the car (which drove extremely well and was "clean"- not just physically, but had clearly been well-maintained in the past). These items included floor mats, the carpeted cover for the "hatchback", some small paint chips on the hood, minor rust on on of the attached "steps" (my language) to get to the roof rack- (NO RUST ON THE CAR BODY). Nic promised to address these issues- detailing the hood, supplying floor mats, ordering the cover for the "hatch" (standard equipment- which he researched via computer) and seeing what could be done about the rust on the "step up" piece, if anything. I was feeling very poorly that evening between my injuries, a virus and meds I was taking. However, Nic was very understanding of this, and knew I was anxious to get a clean vehicle at a good price with my check from the insurance co. He knew I did not expect to have to buy a vehicle for several years, much less on such short notice. I then spoke with Sales Manager Ron Howard and worked out a very amicable and reasonable price for the car. He was considerate of my research and the payment I had for my prior vehicle (similar type/year/mileage but more extras) and worked very hard to compromise in order to facilitate my buying the Ford Escape that evening. Nic then went through all the paperwork, stood firm on his/Ron's commitment to correcting all of the (small) items of "concern" stated earlier (re: floor mats, hatch cover, etc). Another salesperson (Matthew?) walked me over to get something from the vending machine because I was feeling worse as time wore on (not that I was there an unusually long amount of time- I was just very ill and appreciated staff at the dealership being so accommodating.) Lastly, Nic walked me over to meet Fran in Financing- even though I was buying the car outright, Fran was extremely efficient and knowledgeable re: the cost of tags/title, etc based on the weight of the car and found the most cost-effective way for me to take care of these items. She also was very gracious and customer-service oriented. I returned the next day to find everything in order for me- the tags/title etc, the car detailed beautifully (it was already in great shape when I test drove it) and IOU from Nic for the hatch "cover" (on order) and departed with Nic asking me if I had any other questions or anything else he could do for me. I said no, but that I would call if anything arose. I appreciated the professionalism of the staff members at Mercedes-Benz Catonsville. I am certain I got an excellent pre-owned vehicle at the right price. I feel that the staff went out of their way to accommodate me and afforded me every courtesy. I joked that I hope to return when I win the lottery and can afford to buy a Mercedes! Meantime, I highly recommend Nic Brown if you are in need of a new or used vehicle, and am certain Ron Howard and Fran King will treat you as well as they treated me in their respective roles. More
In my search for a used Toyota Prius I had my reservations about buying from a non-Toyota dealer. Coupled with the fact that it was a high end new car dealership also I almost didn't give them a reservations about buying from a non-Toyota dealer. Coupled with the fact that it was a high end new car dealership also I almost didn't give them a chance. But I was glad I did. They had the only used Prius 2008 or later advertised for less than $18k. Ferd was the first salesman to answer my email request from the previous night. When we arrived we were greeted by Ron and told Ferd was with a customer and would be with us shortly. Ron explained he could help us crunch the numbers after I informed him that was my main concern. My main hurdle was trading in a car and having no money down. I left Mercedes after hearing what they had to say and crossed the street to another dealer while they finished working the numbers. While we were there Ferd called and spoke with my husband. He told him they could pay off my trade and get me the payment I asked for. After NOT getting what I asked for at the "other" dealership. I called Ferd and told him I would come by and hear what they had to say. I went back and with a "no pressure" environment got what I needed. It was a time consuming process but it was a comfortable atmosphere. Ferd made a stressful purchase a fun experience for me. Fran was very professional and knowledgeable with the financing aspect of the transaction. Overall I would definitely recommend "Koons" Mercedes Benz of Catonsville. I LOVE MY NEW PRIUS!!! More
Kody was excellent in his professionalism and helping me trade in my vehicle. The process was stress free and was very quick. Koby found EXACTLY the car I was looking for. He introduced me to members of trade in my vehicle. The process was stress free and was very quick. Koby found EXACTLY the car I was looking for. He introduced me to members of his team (service, financing, etc) and took great care of me while at Mercedes Benz of Catonsville. Martin, was also quite helpful in demoing the car with me and going on the test drive. He too, like Kody was very knowledgeable about the car I purchased. Ron and Fran from the financing side were also helpful and turned what could have been a very nerve-recking process into a smooth stress free process. Thanks to everyone at Mercedes Benz of Catonsville (Koons) for their help. I love my new car! More
There is nothing I dislike more than being a consumer, unless of course it's being a consumer in the market for an automobile. Buying a vehicle has NEVER been an enjoyable experience and today was going t unless of course it's being a consumer in the market for an automobile. Buying a vehicle has NEVER been an enjoyable experience and today was going to be no different. This was my mind-set when I arrived at Mercedes Benz of Catonsville. I could not have been more wrong in what I was about to experience. I was greeted by Ferdy (This would be Ferdinand-Frances,Alouiscios Maloney)He greeted me with a warm smile and a positive, upbeat, yet believable personality. He made me feel completely at ease and listened attentively as I explained my situation; I had no idea what vehicle I wanted or needed, no real budget in mind and the aforementioned mind-set of not wanting to be there in the first place. We eventually narrowed the search (from an incredible selection of clean, well maintained vehicles)to a vehicle I wanted to test drive, and away we went. Ferdy was comnpletely knowledgable about the vehicle I was driving as well as any other vehicles we discussed during the test drive. He was generous with his time, stating we could spend as much time on the test drive as I needed in order to feel comfortable in my assessment of the vehicle. He never pressured me, didn't try to "sell me" at all. By the time we returned to the dealership I was sold, I wanted this vehicle....now things were going to get ugly for sure. We were about to discuss price, play the "back and forth with the manager" game and I was going to become fed-up with the whole process and walk out (without the car)...just like I've done plenty of times before. Well, I'm nothing if not consistent.....I was wrong about this too. Ferdy did introduce me to his manager, enter Mr. Nigel Hayes, a very affable and professional gentleman who treated me and my offer with respect. We talked briefly, agreed to a fair price and began the paperwork. Now I knew the paperwork was going to be a hassle, it always is, isn't it?. And OMG, the extended warranty, they always shove that down your throat. Well, remember my "nothing if not consistent" personality trait....I was wrong again. The paperwork could not have gone smoother. No high-pressure, no arm twisting...nothing. It was also a pleasant experience. All the while they were detailing my already spotless new purchase. The only thing left now was going to be the service after the sale. You know what I mean, right? Something goes wrong and now they don't know you....you're on your own Buddy, it's your problem now.... Once again, not only did they not dissappoint, they absolutely blew us away with the "bend over backwards and make things right" level of customer service we recieved. Our newly purchased, previously owned vehicle began to overheat shortly after the purchase. In fact, it was a Friday night at 6:00 pm when it happened. I called Ferdy and explained our problem. Ferdy called me back in a matter of literally 2-3 minutes with a resolution to our problem. He had arranged for us to drop the vehicle off at another Koons dealership we were less than a mile from. He told me who would greet me there and even what type of loaner car they had waiting for us. When we got to the dealership everything went exactly as Ferdy indicated. We were dropped off our vehicle and we were on our way within minutes. The next morning (Saturday) at 8:30 I received an email telling me my car was already at the Catonsville dealership and being looked at. Within minutes I received a conference call from Ferdy, Nigel and their service tech. The issue was a small, inexpensive spitter valve that had a crack in it from being over-tightened. Nigel, the GM was going to go across the street to get the part. They would have the repair made within the hour and then wanted to test drive and observe the vehicle after the repair. I could pick the vehicle up at noon. I arrived at the dealership at 11:45. Nigel was pulling onto the lot as we arrived. He gave us a big smile and a thumbs up. Our vehicle was ready and running like a top! I have never in my life experienced this level of customer service, anywhere, on any purchase. These guys have it figured out. I whole-heartedly recommend them to anyone in the market for a vehicle. The entire experience could not have gone better. I am now there customer for life! Do yourself a favor, go here for all of your automobile needs. You won't regret it! Bob Wisner Highly Satisfied Customer for Life bobwisner@comcast.net More
