Mccord's Vancouver Toyota

I took my vehicle in for service. Over an hour later I was told that my key was “LOST” in my vehicle and that because of covid they didn’t want to have a team look for the key in my car. Weird. Ok. So when I got to my vehicle it was TOTALY RANSACKED!!!!! They took rug off of my console, that I keep there for my dog, they OPENED MY CONSOLE, moved EVERYTHING AROUND, TOOK MY BELONGINGS OUT. They went UNDER MY SEAT, MOVED MY SHOES, UNROLLED MY PAPER BAG WITH PERSONAL BELONGINGS IN IT, OPENED MY BAG THEN PUT IT ONTOP OF CONSOLE. They went thru EVERYTHING IN THE FRONT AND THE BACK!!!! Using the excuse of looking for my key. MY KEY WOULD NOT JUMP UNDER A RUG, OPEN MY CONSOLE, THEN HID ITSELF AT THE BOTTOM. MY KEY WOULD NOT HAVE UNROLLED A BAG THAT WAS UNDER MY SEAT BEHIND MY SHOES, UNDOLDED A BAG AND JUMPED IN! Vancouver Toyota manager said “NO ONE EVER COMPLAINED BEFORE”. WOW OK ⚠️ WARNING!!! Terrible service the wait time is ridiculous and their prices for repairs are twice as high as Firestone and they fight you on warranty items. DO NOT TRUST ANYTHING YOU SEE ON THEIR WEBSITE AND DO NOT TRUST WHAT MARYANN IN FINANCE SAYS, PERIOD. Terrible communication between employees and customers (little details like... the car you're buying i TRUST WHAT MARYANN IN FINANCE SAYS, PERIOD. Terrible communication between employees and customers (little details like... the car you're buying isn't even stock yet and salesperson's promises don't get shared with finance), no cooperation between departments (as though each department is a different corporation), and a finance department that is allowed* to lie to the customers (while charging $1500 over their cost on service agreements), and they don't care one bit if their website has wrong info on it (because there is a disclaimer at the bottom, a jail free card if you will, so why should they care; it's only a $40,000 vehicle after all... smfh). There are some amazing employees, but this place profits on lies and deceit. If you have to go there, do your research first, get a Costco membership before getting a quote, get everything in writing on a single sheet of paper, ask if the car you are buying is even on the lot, inventory the car because the website is a crapshoot, and follow my advice in caps at the top. This advice comes from 2 purchases 1 year apart... Repeated attempts to get them to make things right the first time, but they not only failed to do so - they pulled all of the same stunts on round two! *Maryanne will patronize you and tell you all about the Toyota Vehicle Service Agreement. You will feel pressured but if you can get through it then you will later find out that everything she told you was a lie. Here is the truth: You CAN buy a Toyota extended warranty from any Toyota dealer in the country at any time before your basic warranty runs out The extended warranty does NOT have any benefit whatsoever during the first 3 years when buying a brand new Toyota. No matter how many discounts she pretends to give you I promise you are still getting ripped off. During both of my 2 new car purchases from McCords Vancouver Toyota (5/2019 & 5/2020), with her as the finance person, the same scam was pulled on me. Maybe it was a misunderstanding? Not a chance. I'm not stupid; I filed multiple complaints the first time and the scam happened again the second time exactly a year later (the only change was that she started the price gouging at a much higher number this time $800 higher than last year). They (the guy on the commercial) took my Costco card and came back with paper... mccords did not have the specific model I wanted so I went to a bigger dealer. I went to a bigger dealership in Gladstone. I found out very quickly that the paper they gave me was not the certified paper, and a much worse deal. Who does that these days? I didn’t expect that. The people we worked with at Gladstone were great... I went back to McCords years later for some maintenance. They were good at getting us in and out. The up selling that they did was expected. I just stuck to my oil change. I took the sheet of paper to a private mechanic he checked the things they recommended and said nothing needed to be replaced. I got a bunch of car wash tickets from the oil change I paid for. I went to the car wash and it was broken. I asked the kid working near by when mccords planned to fix it. He said it’s been broken for awhile and they didn’t have any plans to fix it. I prefer to give good positive reviews. But there really wasn’t much to be positive about here. I worked at a place like this before and left when I saw they were doing business this way. They have a great product TOY freeking TOTA!!! You can play the game straight up give people a great deal and make good money. I hope this informs you what you might be dealing with. All the best in your car shopping. More
