Purchased new SUV Never thought I would purchase a Toyota but after visiting McCarthy Toyota in Sedalia I am now have a beautiful 2014 Rav4. Rob Callahan was so frien Never thought I would purchase a Toyota but after visiting McCarthy Toyota in Sedalia I am now have a beautiful 2014 Rav4. Rob Callahan was so friendly and helpful. Explained all my concerns. Had to wait a few days on delivery but Rob called me to keep me up to date. Also like to thank Sam and Mandy. This is the most friendliness dealership I have been to. Above and Beyond Rob Callahan at McCarthy Toyota provided my family and myself an excellent customer experience during the sale of the Nissan Pathfinder. I sincerely a Rob Callahan at McCarthy Toyota provided my family and myself an excellent customer experience during the sale of the Nissan Pathfinder. I sincerely appreciated Rob's no pressure sales approach. When I first contacted him by phone for more information about the pathfinder he was quick to respond with a video of the vehicle emailed to me, considering the dealership had just acquired the car, and they were very flexible when I mentioned my price point. My wife was impressed when Rob delivered the pathfinder to our house (in Columbia an hour away from the dealership) for a test drive and did not give her the "sales pitch". Also delivering the car to columbia for us to test drive was going above and beyond to earn our business. If every customer that visits McCarthy Toyota receives that above mentioned treatment Rob and McCarthy will be very successful. I will definitely tell my friends about my excellent customer experience. More
Honestly Surprising We knew exactly what we wanted, and our local dealer didn't have the right color of vehicle we were searching for, and we didn't want to commit to buy We knew exactly what we wanted, and our local dealer didn't have the right color of vehicle we were searching for, and we didn't want to commit to buying a vehicle we had not driven. We did an extensive Internet search for the "just right" sedan, and came up with the McCarthy Toyota dealership. We decided to see what they as well as one or two other dealers had to offer. As soon as we parked in the lot, Tony Wood greeted us and asked if he could help. Nothing pushy, but simple courtesy. We explained what we wanted and he showed us exactly what we asked for--he didn't try to push us into another more expensive model, or try to sell us features we weren't interested in. There was the usual back and forth price negotiation, and we came to an agreeable settlement. Even knowing dealerships train their people to "connect" with potential customers, Tony Wood was an exceptional young salesman: not pushy, courteous, knowledgeable, intuitive, with integrity. We drove away very happy with our purchase. More

After a week long battle if searching for a car and feeling like I was being "pushed into something" from my insurance company I was lead to a used, y After a week long battle if searching for a car and feeling like I was being "pushed into something" from my insurance company I was lead to a used, yet beautiful 2012 Chevy Equinox here. Ricky (salesman) went above and beyond bringing the car to ME in Blue Springs, Mo all the way from Sedalia, Mo, when he didn't have too just so that I could test drive and check out/keep the car over night and made everything work flawlessly. He was easy to talk too, and I knew it would just be great. While I was very stressed he helped to calm me down and was VERY knowledgable about the car and the whole car business in general. There was no type of intimidation factor and he was very professional. If I needed anything he just told me to let him know, and I did, and he made it happen sticking true to his word. Johnny (sales manager) , Ricky, and Mandy(financing department) were nothing short of an amazing team! They all worked together keeping the customer (me) as the center of attention and helping in every way that they could. It was a low stress process comparatively speaking on what I had been dealing with through other dealerships that whole week. They worked with me and were so flexible, I still feel so blessed I got to go through this whole process with McCarthy Toyota of Sedalia. I'm very pleased and happy with the turn out and my vehicle. I'm still in contact with these guys and would recommend them to anyone that comes my way! Such great people who really do care, and it shows! More

Dissapointing Experience My wife and I went to this dealership to purchase a new truck, as we were needing to trade down to lower our overhead due to overwhelming medical bill My wife and I went to this dealership to purchase a new truck, as we were needing to trade down to lower our overhead due to overwhelming medical bills. Our first encounter with Mr. Webb was over the phone when we called to see if he could help us with our situation. He said there was a very good chance of this happening for us. I told him that I could not come in for a couple of weeks due to the nature of my work. Since he could not understand what, " I will call you when I am able to come see you." means, He kept on calling me and even sending me e-mail videos to the point of distraction. When we finally did go to visit the dealership and Mr. Webb, we were treated very abruptly when they found out that they were not going to make a fast $5000.00 off of us. I can understand this dealerships need to make a profit, but come on, do you have to gouge us working folks so bad and then be abrupt when we are unable and unwilling to play your game? I wish you well, but I'm not going to let you into my wallet. My family is too important for that. Not only did you lose my sale, but you lost the sale of my two daughters who are looking for their first car. More
