After multiple horrible, and one possibly (probably?) illegal, car dealership experience, Mazda of Valley Stream was, at first, a breath of fresh air. I dealt with Tim, who was very knowledgeable and friendly. I had a good idea what I wanted, and knew Mazda of Valley Stream had one. Most of the discussions were about pricing, and were generally friendly. Because I was there late on July 3rd, we weren't able to get everything finalized until July 5th. I took my car home then. I did find it a bit odd that the manager, who I believe to be Tommy, basically begged me to plaster five-star reviews everywhere: Yelp, cars.com, carguru.com, google. The manager also begged me to leave the highest rating on a Mazda-initiated survey, but made clear that I could not under any circumstances indicate to Mazda that I was informed about the survey beforehand. The situation went a bit sour from there. I traded in an old car. I get a text message from Kevin, a different manager, on August 2, practically begging me to send in my car title ASAP. Apparently, during the sales process, Valley of Mazda Stream shockingly forgot to get me to sign the necessary documents to get my Virginia title--and then they didn't realize it for almost a month. A month! Kevin's last text was "I really need your title[.]" Like I said, pretty frantic. They had already sold the car at auction, but didn't have the title. This was really sloppy work. I thought that was the end of that. It wasn't. On August 17, I get another text from Kevin asking I received his overnight mail. I had just moved states, so no, I didn't. Turns out, he screwed up the titling issues yet again. Let's fast forward to sometime between September and November. I get a letter from the DMV threatening fines and driver's license revocation because my old car was no longer insured. Wait, what? Right, they still hadn't retitled the car, and they never provided Virginia, where my old car was titled, proof that I had sold the vehicle. Of course, there was good reason that the old car wasn't insured--I didn't own it--but thanks to Mazda of Valley Stream, Virginia didn't know that. I called Valley of Mazda Stream and asked them to send a bill of sale ASAP. They told me a manager would call me right back. I never got a call. It's only now, on February 12, when I'm dealing with an angry DMV, that I'm able to get ahold of a manger. They faxed a bill of sale right over, but because they failed to (1) document the sale in Virginia properly, and (2) get me a replacement bill of sale promptly, I'm out $145. Add to that, Tim is no longer at Mazda of Valley Stream. That's a shame. Back in July, I could easily recommend Mazda of Valley Stream. Now, I can't. More

Amazing experience I’ve visited other Mazda dealerships and this has been the best of the best. Everyone in there has a great vibe, and this is a light environment. They’re not typical sales people, they care about honesty and their customers. Stephen, Kevin and Tom all worked hard to have my car ready in just 2 days. It was refreshing not dealing with masculinity ego that’s present in many dealerships. Stephen went above and beyond, and he genuinely cares about his customers. He stayed past business hours going through every detail with me. kevin took his time trying to get me the best deal, and he achieved it. I will recommend this dealership, and I’ll be back for my future Mazda’s here. Thank you everyone !!! More

We were asked many questions that purposely led us to wanting to finance an older model with the excuse that a 2018 brand new lease would cost us more. When we came to MAZDA of Valley Stream, our experience was 100% different. We were welcomed kindly, asked subtle questions, and we were allowed to share our thoughts on what we wanted and how we wanted to structure our payments. The first answer from David was "Let me try to make that happen". Within 30 minutes of stepping into the showroom, he had come up with 3 different options for our understanding, and within 15 minutes we came to an agreement on a lease that fit us perfectly. We were never pushed to do something we did not want. Everything was our decision. There was not "negotiating' back and forth for hours as other dealerships sat us down to do. I would recommend this dealership to anyone who is looking for a new car and wants to be treated with respect. More

The test drive was great, David did a good job of explaining things. We got back and I wanted to get an idea of what pricing looked like even though i wasn't ready to buy just yet. David explained the different options to me, told me to think things over and come back soon. As I was getting up to leave the manager comes out of his office gives me an extremely rude and arrogant attitude, tells me i'm not really in the market for a car, etc, doesn't even shake my hand as i leave. I'm not sure how these people expect to earn someone's business by treating them like that. If i decide to buy a Mazda I will definitely be going elsewhere for it. More
