He is one of the most knowledgeable, pleasant and followed up with what we feel a salesperson should do without making us feel pressured into a purchase. It was absolutely a value to us to see a friendly face with whom we could deal and feel comfortable in doing so. Steve worked for us as well as the dealer. Our transaction went smoothly. Options were provided to help us make a final decision in the year/model we finalized. Lisa, in Finance, explained the procedure page by page. If we had questions, they were answered and many times we were provided information without asking. I would highly recommend this dealership to anyone wanting a vehicle and dealing with the knowledge that high pressure sales are not the norm here. Even when I have had service done, I was treated as if I was a valued customer. Service was done in a timely manner and my car was always returned in good working condition after their checks and balances. More

I was not sure what vehicle I wanted other then one that got better gas mileage then I get with my 2006 Lincoln Town Car. I had stopped at several dealerships in my local town and explaining to salespeople that I would buy a car if I could keep my payment at a certain number and put 0 down. I estimated to be able to accomplish this I could spend about $20,000 or so. I do not have any emotional attachment to a vehicle so I was pretty much open to any vehicle that met my mileage and payment goals. Not one sales person called me back out of about 6 I talked to. I did not even get a call back from the local dealer I had previously bought 4 cars from. I wont get into the negativity, and disappointment, of the shopping experience from these people I will focus on the great experience So I had to go out of town and ended up in Salem and it turned out an appointment for business got set back and hour so I had that time to kill. I drove around and saw Powers Mazda and pulled in to look. We do not have a Mazda dealership where we live. I casually drove up the isle and back down and was met by Robert Farquhar, a sales rep. I told him I was waiting on a meeting and did not have much time but that I was interested in trading my Lincoln and possibly buying a new car. I gave him the details I had given everyone else and he politely and quickly looked at my vehicle, asked some questions, and said he would see what he might do. He said he would give me a few hours then call. I received a call from him and he told me he could definitely meet my goals but the car he worked up numbers for he felt I may not like. He assumed I may like a larger car having a Lincoln. He also said he had availability to many lines of cars as Powers is a large group offering Nissan, GM, and several others. He mentioned if this car did not fit my needs he could work on it more. I went into the dealership and he had selected a Mazda 3 and had it sitting there for me to look at and drive. Turns out he did not know I had saw this car on a commercial several months earlier and liked it very much. I had actually forgotten about it but when I saw it I remembered the price point and options to me seemed to be a value. He wanted me to drive it but I declined telling him I have no emotional attachment to vehicles and if he could get the numbers right I was interested. He went to his sales manager Kevin filled him in to my interest and I was introduced. Kevin asked me a few questions and assured me he could meet my needs but would have to basically step on my trade value and cut loose the vehicle to do it. He asked me how I wanted the numbers and I told him ACV (actual cash value) and that he could not hurt my feelings on the Lincoln appraisal and that I understood I had some negative equity. In about 15 minutes the sales rep, Robert Farquhar, called me into the office and presented the numbers. I looked them over and asked for 10 minutes or so to make a call. I called a friend in the business from New York and asked about the pricing. He gave me the details on my trade and vehicle cost of the new car and Kevin was spot on fair. A dealer must make money to provide great service and of course stay in business and I felt the numbers were fair. I walked back in and signed up. I then went to the F& I manager to finalize the deal. He went over everything and attempted to sell me a few products. We had a friendly discussion about the pro's and con's of various options but I declined any further products. The F& I manager was very respectful and closed the deal. He did his best to sell me on them but in the end I declined and he was polite and professional. These guys have earned my business and will now get all my car business in the future. My wife will be buying a car soon as will my son and these guys will be given the opportunity to earn my business for each deal. They are friendly, professional, product familiar, and fair. More
Roy was very patient with us because we are very picky! He is very friendly, down to earth, and kind; he also offered us a free oil change when we purchased the car that will come out of his pocket. He is by far the easiest Salesmen to work with and is not pushy! We have gone in and test drove cars many times and he asked for our number and didn't text and call us all the time to try to push us into a car. He texted when they got in a car that fit what we were looking for but wasn't bugging us when we said no. By far best service we've ever had! My whole family will be coming here in the future! More
Roy is absolutely amazing. While I was dealing with the rental and dealing with switching cars, he made sure that I was taken care of and had everything I needed. When I first pulled into Power Mazda, I was quickly and professionally buy an associate named Josh. Josh was helpful and friendly, but as it was that he is newer to the dealership, he seemed to make a resp professionally buy an associate named Josh. Josh was helpful and friendly, but as it was that he is newer to the dealership, he seemed to make a responsibly appropriate decision in passing us along to a more experienced associate that could perhaps better assist us in our questions. We were then assisted by Roy Watkins. Roy was very friendly and receptive to our needs and wants in a car. He was very intentional to make us aware of all the services and options he could provide us to insure that we were able to purchase the right car for us. We were then shown a 2004 Mazda 3 which was a car we were interested in and at a price that we could afford. Roy worked hard to help us finance at a price we could afford and he was also able to include a couple extra services for our vehicle into the deal as well. The process was well explained and went quickly. Roy and his team has been extremely efficient, helpful, and genuine in all forms of following up with us on our purchase. He has made helpful suggestions as well on things we could to or change on our vehicle and the means for doing so. I would absolutely recommend this dealership and especially Roy Watkins for anyone considering purchasing a new or used vehicle. More

The Service Advisor diagnosed, after a test ride, the whining noise heard was due to a defective air conditioner. The work was performed as noted on Invoice K1CS139292 at a total of $664.65, paid on 4/3/13. Subsequently, on another test ride, when the whining news noise did not abate, another Service Advisor diagnosed the nose as "cupping" resulting of tire anomalies. On a third test ride by the second Service Adviser, the diagnosis was revised to an "unknown" defect. We asked for a refund of the charges on the noted invoice for work done on the air conditioner only. The whining noise persists. Power Mazda Kia refused to refund the charges. I believe their conduct was negligent and further, a knowing case of elder mistreatment since I am 74 years old. The air conditioner was in good working order and that fact was known to the Service Manager. Upon receiving the vehicle, they should have advised me that the whining noise was not due to a malfunction of the air conditioner. I have had other work done by Power Mazda Kia, and found no problems with their service. More
