Took my car in for not starting , while servicing my vehicle I let them know that my check engine light was on but due to the battery being changed I had to wait.. called when it came back on and told a vehicle I let them know that my check engine light was on but due to the battery being changed I had to wait.. called when it came back on and told another tech the code that was showing up ( want to know how bad the issue may be). He said he didn’t know what that meant so I looked it up and told him what it seemed to be. When I brought it in my normal tech was there and I also told him the code and that the other tech had made an appointment. I call when I received an email that my car was ready asking if the check engine light issue is resolved and I’m told yes. Guess what it’s not. I call and I’m being told I requested a specific service and that they didn’t run a full diagnostic (which a week ago they did but only for the battery so not full). I’m a teacher not a mechanic, I gave them the code and what I saw it might mean, you’re supposed to tell me what it means. So I paid for an unnecessary service?! Just frustrated.. More
