He was able to contact the warranty company directly and work with them. The Acadia was the shop for a total of 14 days. I never felt out of the loop as to what was going on or why it was taking so long. At the conclusion of the repairs, Maxon included two free oil changes! After all, they recieved close to $5K More

Someone else drove my vehicle, before I did. Had I known that, I would've opted for a different model. The car also had extensive scratching on one side, which I asked to have buffed out, but the scratches are coming back again. There are even more scratches now than I had originally noticed. Lastly, the car was not cleaned when it was delivered to me. There are still pulled stickers and plastics all over the vehicle from the dealer. I ran my hand across the dashboard, and my hand turned black from the dust. This is completely unacceptable to me. It's actually pretty disgusting that a vehicle was delivered to a customer in this condition. I also noticed that they pulled my credit 4 different times, lowering my credit score from 805 to 790. The dealer also dated my contract for 02/28, when I only picked up the vehicle on 03/03/2018. I'm assuming they wanted to get my sale in before the end of the month for commission purposes. The finance manager also tried charging me for the first payment, arguing with me for about 15 minutes. I refused to let him win that argument, as I knew I had discussed this with the salesperson. He left the room to speak to the general manager and never returned. Instead, he sent the salesperson to tell me I was right. This was completely unprofessional. Not only did he try to get even more money from me, but he was wrong and then didn't even return to apologize. Later that evening, I examined the paperwork, and it stated that my down payment included the first month's payment. Either he was wrong or intentionally tried to get more money out of me; I'm sure this wasn't the 1st time. I wonder how many people fell for this. I also noticed something else on my paperwork--at the end of the lease, they want to charge me a $495 disposition fee, if I do not purchase another vehicle from the dealership when my lease expires. No other manufacturer, besides maybe Mercedes charges this fee. So instead of trying to win the customer's loyalty by providing excellent customer service and pricing, they try to gain your loyalty by imposing penalties... this just seems sick and twisted (GMC you are no Mercedes Benz). I'm not happy at all with my recent vehicle purchase. I've owned 3 Jeep Grand Cherokees before switching to another manufacturer, and I'm so sorry I did. I feel like I'm driving a Laredo, but I'm still paying for my old Overland. I got used to small luxuries that were available in my old Jeep and certain materials (the seats and the dashboard) that are just not present in the GMC Acadia. My brother put it best--this car looks and feels like a $30,000 car (the problem is that the MSRP is over $46,000). I feel like it's a base model, charging a premium price. For just over $47,000, I could've purchased another Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland and gotten premium materials and premium technology packages. My 2015 Overland had better technological features than this 2018 GMC Acadia model. This is the cheapest-looking and feeling vehicle I have ever purchased. With each passing day, I'm more and more disappointed with my purchase. I wish I would've gone with the Chevy Traverse, like my brother did; he's very happy. Or at least, I should have just stuck with another Jeep. At this point, I'm really thinking of turning in my vehicle, cutting my losses, and going back to a Jeep. I will never again purchase another GM vehicle, as their customer service over the phone is a joke. They basically told me they can't help me; I have deal directly with the dealer. Every time I try to contact a manger, they're always "busy" in a meeting or with clients. They have the salesman call me back. As this is a lease, I'm really not sure why a dealer would want a dissatisfied customer driving around THEIR vehicle for 3 years. I mean, I don't own this vehicle, and while I'm not going to purposely damage it, I'm definitely not going out of my way to upkeep it properly. More
