I was manipulated and lied to in regards to the extended warranty for the air-conditioning for my 2017 civic. I was told that the condenser it was leaking fluid from a seal. I was informed that the condens warranty for the air-conditioning for my 2017 civic. I was told that the condenser it was leaking fluid from a seal. I was informed that the condensers leak from a seal would not be covered under the extended 10yr warranty for defective condensers. Three years ago in 2020 the condenser was replaced due to leaking fluid. I went to the dealer in Riverhead and I had no issues with the coverage, the extended warranty was honored,. This dealership was charging me over $800 to replace the condenser. I believe I was being lied to because I did not find any research, supporting the fact that the condenser would not be covered due to a seal leak I knew this was untrue, therefore, I declined the service and returned to pick up my car. When I picked up my car I was charged $170 diagnostic fee that I was not informed about prior. I did sign a contract when Stephanie pointed at the signature line and said please sign here and we’re all set. She claimed it was circled, and that may be, but it was never mentioned. When I was questioning the fact that I was not informed, Stephanie then stated.. “Well, how about I charge you half price at $85 because we need to pay the boys” Again, this just doesn’t sound right from a Corporation to adjust prices. Coincidentally at 8:30 the following morning, I received a phone call from Stephanie claiming that Honda just notified the dealership that the leaking seal in my condenser would be covered under extended warranty. She also offered to return the money I paid for the diagnostic test. This coincidence after six years of Honda dealing with these defective condensers is just not believable. I will never return to Rivera Honda in Port Jefferson NY for these reasons. Clearly, the service department is lacking in Ethics and practicing manipulation of their customers. Moreover, if I would have a greed to the $800 fee the day prior, I would not have received that called the following morning. I am convinced of that. I am 60 years old and my husband and I have been Toyota owners for the last 30 years. I believed Honda was just as good as Toyota mechanically, and for dependability It is disappointing that my first experience has been so poor post purchasing the car.. In the future, it’s back to Toyota for our family. More

8 months ago I bought Honda Civic sports from this dealership. That time their Financing person Nicholas Malena done all paper work and I make sure that time that I have extended warranty and tires an dealership. And 5 days ago ( May 12,2023 3.30pm) I went to dealership and ask them for copy of my contract and my warranty papers. Then Nicholas Malena and one other guy there be like No you don’t have tires and rim covered and you wave it off. I was shocked how they ripping people. I told them you never even ask me for option to keep it or wave it off. I asked him many times and he told me it covered when I bought my car. Finally Nicholas Malena said I will look at your contract and call you Monday. And Now its been 5 days. Today is Friday and no one reach me out. That’s how they treat their customers and their policy is just to rip people off. I would never recommend anyone to do business with them. Last time a week ago I went there and this guy gave me my warranty paper that doesn’t say anything on it which things are covered and which are not and there is no website mentioned where I can go and see the details. I only had one option to confirm this from Nick and he admitted that. Now when the time comes they refuse the warranty. They only had one car key when I bought the car and they said in my warranty Its covered and they owed my second car key. Then their manager Ray confirmed that and processed my second car key. After 2 months they gave me my second car key which is proof of their bad customer service and my extended warranty which cover bumper to bumper including tires and rims. I would 100% leave the review on Honda website and talk with the people upfront. More

When I called recently with an emergency repair, they were able to repair my vehicle same day on a weekend when no one else was available!! service!
