I called and asked for 4WD Service because my 4WD Service message was coming on every time I cranked the truck. They took my truck drained the crank case and filled it and greased the front and rear end gear message was coming on every time I cranked the truck. They took my truck drained the crank case and filled it and greased the front and rear end gears. They changed the oil and oil filter and rotated the tires. They also inspected the vehicle and tried to sell me new windshield wipers, air filter and cabin filter. Then called me to come get it. I paid, got in my truck, cranked it, and the 4WD light message came up. I went back in and said the 4WD Service Message wasn't cleared. Susie went out to my truck and said ohhhh you didn't tell us you had a 4WD Service message. I said why else would I get my 4WD serviced? She immediately started down the path of that service message was not there when you dropped it off and then said let me take it to the mechanic to be inspected. I said funny your mechanic inspected the whole vehicle and tried to up sell me but didn't check the F$%^&ng FWD. She said, well he didn't inspect the 4WD. When I went back in, she came back and told me, the mechanic said the message wasn't there. I said it was before I dropped it off and it was when I picked it up. I assure you the message was there. She said so you are calling me a liar, I said no, I am telling you the service message was there but maybe your mechanic didn't see it. She said ohhhh so now you are calling my mechanic a liar. I paused, then said why would you take fluid out of the crank case and add new fluid and then grease the gears without checking the 4WD first and after. She said because we don't test the 4WD when we change the fluids. I said that crazy. You perform work on a vehicle without testing it. She said yes, I said so you don't test the oil after you change it, she said no. I said yes you do you check the dip stick to make sure it has the right amount of oil. She said there is no dip stick on the transfer case sarcastically. So, I just looked at her like she was stupid because she couldn't understand engaging the 4WD was the equivalent of checking the dipstick. She went back to check on the truck, so I talked to the service manager. He said, well sir, I have plenty of customers that get their 4WD serviced before the vehicle notifies them. Funny thing is he said notifies them, so the message does come up when you hit a specific mileage. When Susie returned, she told me it would be $740. I said, just bring me my truck. I just bought the actuator for $115 and it is like a 20 minute swap. Why they are charging $740, I don't know. I don't care that the mechanic made a mistake, I care that no one would own it. I care that everything hinged on me not telling them that I had a 4WD Service message. I care that if everything would have been done together, it probably would have been $1300 or less versus $1600. Suzie was so worried about being right and making sure that I was wrong that she didn't hear anything I said and anything that she said. The fact is that if GMC is going to service a 4WD by removing and adding lubricants, then at a minimum they should test the 4WD before and after the service. It is an extra 5 minutes to protect them from breaking something or being blamed for breaking something. I was already having a bad day, so I am certain I was an @xxhole. I also admit that my attitude got significantly worse after listening to Susie's arguing. After I left, I looked at my receipt. Labor for the oil change and tire rotation was less than 40 dollars. Labor for 4WD service was $269. If they are not testing and all they are doing is pulling the plug, draining, refilling, and connecting a grease gun to the grease ports and squeezing, then why did it take so long? This service department at Mandal Buick in D'Iberville is terrible. Suzie and the service manager should be fired. This review will be shared with everyone on the Gulf Coast. More

We had a wonderful experience at Mandal Buick GMC. We went there with the intention of purchasing a used car and prepared by viewing the inventory online. Jim Crampton greeted us at the door, took our information, asked us what type of vehicle we were looking for, and went to see what type of financing we would qualify for. At first we were a little frustrated because we just wanted to see what we thought we wanted and then go from there. This ended up saving us so much time because we were able to get into a car that was WAY better than we could have imagined. We purchased our first new vehicle after 22 years of only getting used cars right off the floor room gallery! We are so happy with the experience and are thankful for Jim Crampton and Alisha for navigating us through the process, helping us secure financing, and keeping us company as we waited :). More
