OUR HISTORY Walt DeBoer founded Lithia Motors in 1946 as a Chrysler-Plymouth-Dodge dealership in Ashland, Oregon. Following Walt’s death in 1968, Walt’s son Sid along with Dick Heimann, grew the business to include 5 stores and 19 franchises in Southern Oregon. In December 1996, this collection of dealerships was transformed into Lithia Motors, Inc., a publicly traded company (NYSE stock symbol-LAD). We envisioned a company that would continuously grow, provide great customer service, and opportunities for employees. TODAY Lithia is one of America’s largest automotive retailers featuring most domestic and import franchises. Our stores serve urban and rural populations throughout the Western and Midwest United States. We are focused on providing customers with an honest and simpler buying and service experience. We are giving customers straightforward information so that they can make confident decisions. We believe that our local communities are our lifeblood. No offense but your reply sounds a little too similar to the brush off I got from the service manager. And I don't really know how it can be rectified because at this point my car has a permanent engine knock after your service that it did not have prior. Even with the damage to my motor, and the cursing from a service team member, the worst take away was when your salesman blatantly lied about the mpg ratings on the stickers and then told me I was lucky that my car value equaled my payoff of 11k when I previously researched to find that my car has a trade in value of 15 to 17, with a blue book currently over 19k. If there is any way you feel you can rectify this problem other than lip service, I'll be more than happy to entertain your attempt, although the choice and behavior of the representing employees directly reflect the overall view of the management, owners, and leadership with regards to customer treatment
