OUR HISTORY
Walt DeBoer founded Lithia Motors in 1946 as a Chrysler-Plymouth-Dodge dealership in Ashland, Oregon. Following Walt’s death in 1968, Walt’s son Sid along with Dick Heimann, grew the business to include 5 stores and 19 franchises in Southern Oregon. In December 1996, this collection of dealerships was transformed into Lithia Motors, Inc., a publicly traded company (NYSE stock symbol-LAD). We envisioned a company that would continuously grow, provide great customer service, and opportunities for employees.
TODAY
Lithia is one of America’s largest automotive retailers featuring most domestic and import franchises. Our stores serve urban and rural populations throughout the Western and Midwest United States.
We are focused on providing customers with an honest and simpler buying and service experience. We are giving customers straightforward information so that they can make confident decisions.
We believe that our local communities are our lifeblood. In addition to the employment opportunities we provide in each of our neighborhoods, we also provide contributions to charitable organizations that serve our families, friends, and customers.

I bought a car from Lithia last night. When I got there I had a raging headache and hadn't eaten that day (it was 3:30). Dan shoved food in my face the entire time and treated me like family. He was highly communicative during the entire process and kept in contact via phone all morning until I got to the dealership. This car wasn't just a new car for me. It was a new start. The entire staff, sales manager, Internet Sales Manager and Dan treated me like a friend. This is my 3rd Hyundai but my first purchase from Lithia and I can't say how much I enjoyed and appreciated the attentiveness without the feeling of pressure. Thank you so much for everything. I will be a loyal customer and recommend those I know in the market to Lithia Hyundai! (side note: giving a 1 star review because you didn't get a free charger is wild!! LOL) More

They sold me an overpriced piece of crap six months ago and now everything is falling apart, and they refused to fix anything. Very unscrupulous sellers service department was absolutely no help at all in and now everything is falling apart, and they refused to fix anything. Went in for a scheduled update to my transmission. However, when I arrived they said they wanted to dig into the issue and I would probably be without a vehicle until Monday. That's 5 days. Not sure how I am going to do without my vehicle for 5 days cause I live alone and have nobody to drive me around to complete errands and be where I need to be. Wasn't offered a loaner which would have been nice. But it would have been nice to know in advance I wasn't just coming in for an update like I was originally told. More
