First expirence was a front drive line CBC joint repair and a quote of $2600. They don't repair, they replace. I purchased the bearings and centering kit, 20 ton press and used it as a education tool for my son. My cost total $200 and 3 hours of my time. Second experience was the third time I have had the center support bearing replaced on my 1 ton. This time I wanted to do it myself since it only seems to last 15,000 miles. No vibration problem, both times damage to the seal by mechanics installation. Quote for part $240. Find a reputable mechanic to do your work. It will be less expensive and mor reliable. However, keep in mind that I am a helicopter mechanic and lives depend on my GOOD work. More
