For over 20 years we have purchased our vehicles exclusively through Dodge Lithia Eugene. After dealing with Sam, the Service Manager today, they have lost a customer! From the moment we bought ou exclusively through Dodge Lithia Eugene. After dealing with Sam, the Service Manager today, they have lost a customer! From the moment we bought our new Dodge Durango in 2021, we have had nothing but radio and Uconnect errors which were not taken seriously by the Service Department. After 2.5 years they finally replaced the radio which did not resolve the Uconnect errors. Their solution is to have me leave my car for an entire week so they can further troubleshoot. I have already left my car countless times to be told the issue was fixed to then turn on my car and have the error immediately pop-up. After discussing my concerns with Sam as well as not having a back-up vehicle he was rude and unsympathetic. He made it clear we were not a valued Customer which is unfortunate because we have always felt like Dodge Lithia was our go-to dealership. More
My daughter that attends the University of Oregon, took her Jeep in for a simple oil change just before making the long drive home to Los Angeles after her final exams. While there, after waiting three hou her Jeep in for a simple oil change just before making the long drive home to Los Angeles after her final exams. While there, after waiting three hours for this oil change, she decided to get up and ask what was taking so long. On the way home, in the middle of nowhere, her oil light came on. She immediately called me and I told her to pull over immediately at risk of ruining the engine. She called Triple A, for whom she had to wait on the side of the road for two hours, at risk of a traffic accident with just her driving companion. At this point, members of Management need to ask yourself if you’d want your daughters to undergo this ordeal, would you? I can guarantee that you wouldn’t. You never know who could show up or what other risks she could face. As a father I was worried sick because I couldn’t get to her myself, so I stayed on the line with her until Triple A showed up. When they checked the oil level, they specified that everything appeared well and that she could be on her way. Now, was this oversight of not resetting the oil light intentional because of her complaint of the service taking too long while she was there waiting unnecessarily? Or was it due to a sort of incompetence and/or quality control issue? That is a question that management there at Lithia will need to answer. I find it completely disgraceful that something like this, the resetting of a simple monitoring control, could lead to such risks. More
