Easy enough I've never been a fan of new car buying. It always seemed to be more painful than necessary. I turned to the Chase/TrueCar buying service to see if the process would be any easier. It really wasn't. The salesman, Juan, that I accidentally corralled by going to the Lindsay used car lot instead of the new car lot, was patient and put up with all my questions. Mr Mlynski was helpful in facilitating the process. Nicole Smith certainly made the closing process easy and painless. Not real happy with the Lindsay finance department for having sent me an email telling me that my third party loan was not approved and that I would have to return the vehicle to them, especially considering they had already been wired the money from the bank. Nicely done! More

Also the individuals who did are paperwork made sure we understood what we were sighting. Made us a extra key as well as programmed it while we waited. Those keys are expensive, if you have ever had to replace one. However it was done at no charge. over all a very nice easy experience. Would recommend they at least be given a chance if your in the market for a new car. More

When th The serpentine belt on my 1994 Bronco broke just a block from my home. On this vehicle, one serpentine belt is used instead of multiple belts. When the the belt broke—the engine quit. I had it towed to Lindsay Ford since they were the closest. I advised them there was a Tech Service Bulletin on the Heater Knob Assembly, and suggested they fix that while it was there. My A/C compressor had been making noise for a few weeks, and I had already purchased another one,and it was in the vehicle. When the Service Rep called me with the estimate he said it would be about $1500 to repair the A/C and install the belt ($100), even though I had brought them the replacement compressor. When I asked why, he said the technician said it needed a lot more parts because shards of metal probably got into the lines. I told him the A/C wasn’t on, neither was the heater or defroster. I told him I was not going to spend $1500. He said he would talk to the technician and call me back. The price got down to just over $500 to install the supplied compressor, bleed the system, and put on the new belt. When I picked up my vehicle, I noticed the invoice had a note that the ‘Compressor will fail again/Customer refused other parts.’ I turned on the A/C to check it at Lindsay. It seemed to work OK. It was a cool November day, so I turned it off again.----A week or so later, I went to turn on the Heater, which had worked fine previously. The temp control knob didn’t function properly now. It would only turn partially left and right, and was very difficult the move. --Now I had NO heat-- even though the engine was plenty warm. I called Lindsay and they told me to bring it back in when I could, and they would get the problem fixed. I couldn’t hear the temp control door open and close when I turned the knob, so I assumed the technician had forgotten to reattach the cable. I dropped the vehicle off, and waited for a call from Service. They claimed they needed to special order another part and I needed to pre-pay for that part (about $125) which I did. That part would take a week or so to come in. So I picked up my vehicle again. They called back a week later to say the part was in, but the labor to install it would be an additional $500. They claimed the high price was because they had to solder a lot of wires for the new part to be installed. Disgusted...I never went back — and my pre-paid part is probably still on their parts shelf. I would never go there again. More

Waste of Time This is going to be long... After getting a couple prices from other Ford dealerships in the area, I had made a call to Lindsay Ford to make a deal This is going to be long... After getting a couple prices from other Ford dealerships in the area, I had made a call to Lindsay Ford to make a deal on a New Lightning Blue Mustang GT w/ Performance Package. I was told that they had the car in stock and could make the deal at $30K out the door. Once I arrived, they did not have the car I wanted, but were trying to sell me a an Oxford White Mustang GT w/ Performance Package with racing stripes which I did not want. I entertained the thought and offer. Then they told me the price out the door would be $38K. After almost 2 hours of saying no, they came down to a price of $32,100. So then we came down to the price of my trade-in which I still owed less than $4K on. The trade-in Blue Book/NADA value of my car was around $8500. They offered me $2,500 so I was to pay more for the Mustang that I did not want, but entertaining the offer. At this point, I gave up on the whole dealership, cursed out all the people that were "helping me out" and went off to buy the car at Sheehy Ford in Gaithersburg. I've worked at dealerships and body shops, know the ins and outs of the business, but don't promise prices and availability not to follow through with it. Cliff notes: Don't waste your time with this dealership. Useless employees and service. More

I went to Lindsay for of Wheaton on September 8th to buy a 2015 Nissan Murano. I was financing the car by the dealer For $27,000 . They got me waiting there since 10:00 am to 2:00 pm . It was a very long waiting process. When finally was called to the financing department they added extended warranty on the loan without offering or asking me if I wanted to get an extended warranty to my new car. I declined the extended warranty. The men processing mi loan got very upset and told me that he needs to speak to the manager. He went to talk to the managerm and when he returned he shakes my hand and told have a good day . We can't sell You the car if You don't get the extended warranty. I got up and left the dealer very upset. That's ilegal , they can't force the customers to get an extended warranty in order to buy their cars. I will never buy anything from the.
