Between my wife and I we have leased approximately 7 or eight vehicles. From the very beginning Denise has always been someone I could count on for anything I have ever needed related to my Lexus ownership. For the past several years Kenny has been my ”go to” person for anything I might need. My most recent lease of a 2021 RX350 F SPORT was made extraordinarily easy thanks to Carlos who made himself available to answer any questions about new technology. It would be impossible to find a better, well-informed or more helpful service team anywhere. I’m so very glad to have found them. More
While the service department eventually addresses concerns, they obviously have a serious quality control issue. Additionally it take FAR too much effort to get them to understand the value of a cus concerns, they obviously have a serious quality control issue. Additionally it take FAR too much effort to get them to understand the value of a customer's time and the frustration of a customer when problems continue to arise time after time, often for the exact same issue. They are quick to offer excuses and justifications, and very slow to offer apologies and make amends for the very issues they create and the broken expectations of the customer. Yesterday I had to return to the dealership because of a stripped lug not that prevented me from removing a tire in the event of a flat. This was caused by their technician the last time my tires were rotated. I only found the problem myself when giving the my rx350 an inspection before a holiday road trip. This is the THIRD TIME Lexus of Smithtown has caused a problem with my lug nuts in three years. the previous event I had a vibration in the steering that turned out to be from having 2 missing lug nuts and two that were only finger tight. My front right wheel was being held on by ONLY ONE lug nut because the tech failed to tighten them correctly, putting my family at risk for a serious accident! The time before, my family and I were left stranded with a flat tire because their tech failed to torque the nuts to the correct value. They were so tight, it was physically impossible to remove them with the car's supplied tire iron. I am a single working parent. The fact that I had to take time out of my busy day away from work and family to go to the dealership and have this problem resolved is unacceptable, consider the problem would not have occurred in the first place if they did not have a quality control issue. At first I was told to have a seat and that they were busy and would eventually get to me when they had time. It was not until I became assertive and insisted on the service manager's immediate involvement, that they took me right in and fixed the problem of their causing. I left with a feeling that I was inconveniencing THEM and their flow of business, rather than feeling like they took responsibility for inconveniencing me YET AGAIN. More
