If you want to buy a vehicle this weekend or ANYTIME from this dealer, be warned! They will pretend to act like they care about you as a customer, but as soon as you drive out the lot, you will truly find ou this dealer, be warned! They will pretend to act like they care about you as a customer, but as soon as you drive out the lot, you will truly find out what kind of people run this place. I purchased a used car from them late last year, and ONE week after driving off the lot, I had a sensor malfunction and check engine light come on. I proceeded to call my salesman, Harry, who was actually great during the sales process. Lo and behold, when I told him about the problems, his attitude and demeanor changed drastically. He put me on a brief hold and said he would talk to the service manager. After a few minutes he tells me that there is nothing they can do because the car was sold as is. Just like that. No care in the world for a first time customer. Because I'm more than 60 miles away (I live in the Southbay), I took the car to the local dealer. They dealer diagnosed the car and they quickly determined that the PCM was damaged because of the detail job in the engine bay that Lexus Of Riverside performed before selling the vehicle. Wax and dressing got into the breather hole which ultimately caused this short on the sensors. The dealer advised that the new PCM and labor would total $1500 and that I should call the dealer that sold me the car, in this case Lexus Of Riverside, and that they should take care of it because THEY performed the detail on the car. So I tried reaching out to management assuming they would try to do the right thing and help fix something they caused. They didn't. So I want to give a couple shout outs to some people I tried contacting. First, Adel Shammas (GM)- for making sure to send me a thank you email for purchasing from Lexus Of Riverside the moment I purchased it. I want to thank you Adel, for never replying back after I told you about my issue. I would say, your lack of care for a first time customer is the opposite of "Experience Amazing", as you guys like to say. To Don Churchill (parts and service director)- thank you for also sending an email after my purchase and inviting me to reach out to you and your team, should I ever need to service the vehicle for any issues. Although you also never replied to ANY of my emails, thank you for at least calling me back. That was about the most helpful thing you did, call me back. Literally, you did NOTHING but call me and DENY any wrongdoing by you or your team. Not only that, you showed lack of empathy, and also questioned every word I said, saying that you have never heard of a detail job in the engine bay ever damaging any sensors or causing any issues. You even said that I was lying about the issue caused by the wax or "dressing' as you put it. When I told you if you would be willing to talk to the Service Manager at the local dealer who diagnosed the issue and could vouch for the credibility, you said that was not needed. You then proceeded to put me on hold ( as did Harry) just to come back and say, there was nothing you could do because there was no warranty on the car. As I told you on the call, this was not a WARRANTY issue but rather a LEXUS OF RIVERSIDE issue! You said there was nothing you could do, and left it at that. Anyhow, all I got from this whole ordeal is a thousand dollars of repairs I paid out of my pocket and the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life, at ANY DEALER. To whoever read this review through, BE WARNED. Make sure you check the engine bay of your vehicle and let them know that you will not responsible for any future problems. AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS. I would NEVER recommend this dealer to ANYONE and suggest you STAY AWAY. More
