Donny gave me an extremely fair price on their immaculate vehicle with no pressure & Franklin handled the finance portion with the same kind & friendly treatment. I have never felt so welcome & appreciated at a car dealership before. The vehicle was exactly what they had advertised online & was pristine. Terrible experience I would say be warned when dealing with their Sales Manager specifically. I could not come to an agreement on a vehicle I was looking at purchasing I would say be warned when dealing with their Sales Manager specifically. I could not come to an agreement on a vehicle I was looking at purchasing as the price was high for the particular car in question due to so many deficiencies and broken items. So, No big deal, i decided to leave the dealer and go on my way as this car is just not the car for us at that point. Then, I got call almost within an hour after leaving from Tia's desk directly, with her leaving me a message and asking that I come back and as they would like to offer a price reduction to gain my business. So I drove back to dealer to entertain her offer, and in the end, we wrote a contract to purchase but only after creating a very short 5 item punch list as a condition of sale. That then began the worst sales experience in my life, as I wrote a check for $65k to Tia the sales manager for a very expensive Mercedes S63 and a very short punch list to be completed as a condition of sale. She and I agreed in writing to 5 very specific clauses in contract on a punch list, of which 3 of those items were not completed prior to pickup, but as they were somewhat minor, she promised my family and I that they would be taken care of. After leaving with the car, and then following up with her and her organization daily for a month, with no responses, it forced us to file a dispute against their company.. Their response to our dispute was not only disgusting, but was a letter basically discrediting myself as a customer, calling me various names and adjectives because I had presented a list of items that were deficient on the car during our negotiations (pretty standard procedure here), and then explaining that They Don't Believe They Should honor the Signed agreed upon Punch list portion of contractual obligation since the actual car was listed as an As Is Sale? This alone shows the type of character Lexus and Tia represent. The point they are missing entirely is this: Regardless of the car being sold As Is, if you the dealer/seller agree to draft up a punch list of items to be completed as a condition of purchase, than it is your responsibility to take care of those items, as they become part of the "As Is" contract at that time.. Needless to say, after waiting a week to pick up the purchased vehicle, We arrived and noticed more than half of the punch list items were not taken care of, such as the Leather Cleaning, the Emblem Replacement Re-installation, and additionally they ended up breaking an extra very expensive item which was the rear seat window Blinds. At that time, I simply have had enough, asked them to fix the one item they broke during that week, and was willing to let everything else remain as is, except for one... And that was the Replacement or Reinstallation of the emblems. Tia personally has the peices of the emblems in her hand the day I purchased vehicle. Upon pickup, she said her staff tried to reinstall them, and then when they detailed (rather ran the vehicle through their car wash, it ended up blowing off the side emblems again (pieces there of) and they were lost completely at this stage. Her response on day of pick up was "Not to worry, we have already placed an order for the emblems, and they would be delivered to your house or you can come pick them up when they arrive..." So for whatever reason, I agreed, and we left with the vehicle. We bought on Dec 22nd, and we continued our follow up calls, texts and emails with our actual sale agent Justin McCall through January 28th. Justin McCall was actually on our side so I though, and continued to express is disappointment on how his manager was handling my situation, and was simply more frustrated that they were simply not communicating or responding to our attempts to find out where the emblems where, or if they were ever going to be ordered. In the end, I sent a final Email to Justin and Lexus Management, stating that if I did not hear back in regards to our contractual obligations, then I would be filing a dispute. They still never responded. Very simple: "As Is" contract to purchase a used S63 Mercedes. Contract included a Punch List of 5 items that needed to be completed by dealer prior to completing sale and pick up. This was a signed agreement that complemented the original purchase contract and was a requirement of mine in order to agree to sign the purchase contract. How can Lexus and Tia write a letter in regards to my dispute, completely disregarding their contractual obligation, and say they owe me nothing cause I was a difficult buyer to negotiate with? It is beyond me. A little about me. I am a Trustee and Ambassador to my City of Winter Park I am Professional Financial Service Provider and Provide Services to Customers every day, so customers service is key in any situation. I am an advocate for the Elderly and Unfortunate that cannot defend themselves I am dedicated to Providing Community Service to organizations that give back to our community, last year my team and I assisted providing time and resources to over 32 Local Non For Profits in Central Florida. I am a Leader and Community Activist pushing issues of equality and fairness for all. I lead by example, and by treating others how you would want them to treat you. So in the end, I am very confused, but more so pained by how they saw this transaction and responded to our dispute when comparing to my experience and how we saw the transaction. If there was any grief or bad blood during the initial sale, I would have not stroked a check for $65k. I remember leaving there that day with Tia happy, me somewhat skeptical that they were going to finish the punch items, but in the end, was content with the deal, as long as they completed their obligations detailed in the contract. We all know voluntary deals only happen when both sides are happy. So why did this Tia lady think it was necessary to try and defame me and my family with desparaging comments, in writing, as a response to our dispute, rather than simply explaining that they had provided the emblems or provide proof that they even attempted to make good on contract??? Instead, she just explained that it was an As Is contract and has no obligation to the Punch List Checklist that we agreed to. I am still curious as how they think this makes sense or is even legal. Buyer Beware I will update this review as our dispute is further handled including gladly changing the review if they honor the agreed upon contract terms. More
