Good salesman; management still playing games The salesman that assisted us in our purchase was very kind, patient, and personable. Our 5-year old even took to him, lol. He began “selling us” but was quick to respond when we pushed back. He showed us three separate vehicles of our choosing (including test-drives) and answered all of our questions without making up too much. Then he brought out two “top” choices into the garage so we could compare them side-by-side (it was raining). Then the “show” started. We started talking price, and (of course) the first offer was waaay above where we said we needed to be. There were several “let me check with my manager and see what we can do” moments, and the manager made a trip or two out to try and intimidate us into accepting their offers. I finally got tired of playing the game and gave them our final offer — of course they were able to “work their magic” and got within $10 of the payment we wanted. They accomplished this by stretching the loan out until the end of time so we still overpaid for the car, but it’s the one my wife wanted so I’ll live with it. I was really disappointed to find out that Lewis Toyota plays the same old dealer games; it really affected my view of them. I think their service department is amazing. I wish the sales department had the same integrity. I should be clear that my dissatisfaction wasn’t with the salesman we worked with; he was likeable and I realize he was following the company’s playbook (I even overheard another new salesperson being “trained” at the desk behind us). I AM saying that the manager caused my eyes to roll, and the sales process made my blood boil. We likely won’t buy here again... Last thing; the finance person we worked was professional and courteous. No problems there either. More

Trade and Purchase This was the second time I purchased from Lewis Toyota. Because I loved my 4Runner so, but had to part ways due to the toll my gravel road was taking This was the second time I purchased from Lewis Toyota. Because I loved my 4Runner so, but had to part ways due to the toll my gravel road was taking on her back end, I could not bring myself to stray too far quite yet, which caused me to consider the Tacoma. Maggie was recommended to me by a friend, and she really was so awesome and genuine, and I was sad to leave her when everything was finished. Brad was very courteous and approved a great deal on my trade in and new vehicle, which made the experience swift and easy. There were a few other salesman, the finance guy, and tech lady, whose names unfortunately have left my mind, so sorry I can’t give you a shout out too, but you know who you are and your helpful and fun attitudes also contributed to a very pleasant experience.
