I have total confidence in this Lexus Larry H. Miller dealership! I do not worry about being conned into anything my car may not actually need, or over priced for the services to be done! This dealership was outstanding. Our sales specialist, Gregg Vranek was once. Because of Gregg Vranek, we will purchase our next vehicle through him. Our sales specialist, Gregg Vranek was once. Because of Gregg Vranek, we will purchase our next vehicle through him. More
We took our 2023 Lexus RX350H in for service hoping to find out why the engine revv’d excessively coming down and going up hills. It stumped the service people initially and they had the car for nearly 3 find out why the engine revv’d excessively coming down and going up hills. It stumped the service people initially and they had the car for nearly 3 days, but they were persistent in looking into it. Initially, they said nothing was wrong but I didn’t accept the response. They looked further into it after we took them on a test drive. Turns out it is a ‘Hybrid’ battery management program in the navigation system that ‘predicts’ the need to manage the battery charge level. The system analyzes the route of travel, topography and destination and picks a gear that will most beneficially charge and manage the battery. The problem is that it will do that irrespective of surrounding traffic resulting in your rate of travel being slower than normal flow. Fortunately this function can be disabled in the navigation menu which was done. This is an awful feature simply because it is not something that can be easily turned on or off as you are driving. You must stop the vehicle and go into the (very complex and non intuitive) navigation menu to manage. If this is really such an important feature, Lexus should give it a stand alone menu selection on the screen or steering wheel or, enable the paddle shifters to override the function allowing the engine to shift into a more appropriate gear so that the engine is not racing at 4-5k rpms. This is a problem. I like the car overall but find the screen functions are over complicated and not intuitive. My Mazda and Ford are much easier to use. More
