Don’t purchase the extended warranty because it’s a ripoff! We should’ve known better but didn’t realize that the CNA NATIONAL COMPANY is a joke. Please don’t purchase it! ripoff! We should’ve known better but didn’t realize that the CNA NATIONAL COMPANY is a joke. Please don’t purchase it! More

The first person my wife spoke with was Will who said he was the sales manager. He seemed nice enough and offered an additional warranty for an additional $4000 but was not pushy when we declined. The next person we encountered is named DJ. Complete lack of communication paired with lack of information and errors across the board. He couldn't have been more disinterested if he tried. At this point I was considering going to another dealership altogether but my wife really loved the car so we continued. The day we were going to pick up our car that we were NOT financing but paying cash for a VERY pushy and VERY rude person called. He said that he was a part of the finance division I wish I could remember his name. I wondered why the finance division would be calling us when we were not financing. Well it was because he wanted to try and push the additional $4000 warranty that we already declined. Here was excerpts of the conversation: Finance guy : "I just wanted to inform you that your warranty covers none of the electronics on the inside of your car. I see you declined our extended warranty. Do you have a warranty somewhere else?" My wife's response : "We are not interested in the warranty". Finance guy : "Uhhh...WHY?!" My wife : "Because we aren't interested". Now the little rude guy says in a VERY mocking tone : "WHY...CAN YOU NOT AFFORD IT?!" Wife : "No we can't" Guy : "Wow. You can't afford $4000?" I grab the phone and tell him that whether we can afford it or not is completely irrelevant. WE DO NOT WANT IT! He says "Oh because of the interest charge?" At this point I honestly was only half listening to him and I said "Yeah". So he says "Great news! There is no interest charge" I'm sure he thought this was a crafty response and maybe it's worked with other people but it was not going to work on me. Again I decline. He then says "What if I knock it down to $2000? Can you not afford $2000?" I said very firmly "NO! WE DO NOT WANT YOUR WARRANTY. NO. NO FOR $4000 NO FOR $2000 and NO FOR NO INTEREST!" He sighs, grunts and says "Fine. BYE!" and hung up. He could have offered at this point to give it to us free and we would have said no because he was a rude guy who has no business working with the public. Perhaps he would be better equipped working behind a computer all day and never speaking to another human because clearly he has zero skills in that area. I would NOT recommend this dealership in any way, shape or form. They are unprofessional and don't even pretend to care for their customers. Not even when you hand them $30,000 CASH for a car. More
Had a great buying experience. Bought a Grand Highlander Hybrid out of state, as these are currently a hard find in my area. Landers McLarty was selling the car below MSRP, whereas Bought a Grand Highlander Hybrid out of state, as these are currently a hard find in my area. Landers McLarty was selling the car below MSRP, whereas our local dealer charges a 'market adjustment' and puts on dealer addons. Paid my deposit over the phone and about a month later got a call that the car had arrived. Flew into Nashville and dealership had arranged an airport pickup to take me to the dealership. I was in and out within an hour driving the car home. No surprises at closing and paid what was agreed upon when paying the deposit. Sales person I worked with was "DJ". Highly recommend this dealership. More
In January I purchased a nice low mileage Mazda6, advertised for under 27k on their website, and cars.com. I lived 2 hours away, so I called to talk over the car/price/etc. The general sales manag advertised for under 27k on their website, and cars.com. I lived 2 hours away, so I called to talk over the car/price/etc. The general sales manager, Robert Register, seemed very pleasant but quoted me 30k. That seemed reasonable after taxes/fees, but I took screenshots of their site before leaving, just in case. They write up a sales contract for 33k after taxes and fees. Here's where it started to get bad. I had to argue their own online price to them, explain to them their website, and negotiate and haggle down to their advertised price. Snippet of conversation: "it says 29800 right there!" "After taxes and fees" "Impossible! They couldn't know your tax rate!" "You type the zip code right there to calculate it." I guess that's one sales tactic, and I suppose it's effective, but it is dishonest. They eventually wrote up a sales price matching their advertised price, which is still, to this day, a weird thing to say, and offered me a terrible loan at a 8.9% interest rate at a 840 credit score. I asked if there were any guarantees with the car, such as if something turned out to be broken that shouldn't, what i should expect out of purchasing a vehicle (under 15k miles) from them, and the salesperson said that they don't have anything formal but to not "worry" because they stand by everything very well. When I returned home, I tried to use both key fobs, and the 2nd didn't work. Then I looked at the tag on the 2nd key, and it says, CX5 and different vin. They gave me the primary fob with accessory key for the other car for sale on their lot. I text the general sales manager and he tells me that they'll grab the 2nd keyfob, mail it back and I can mail them theirs. No problem. I'm then told that the keyfob they have is "busted" and doesn't work. I call my local mazda dealer and they quote me 500 to buy and program a new key fob. So I ask that they provide me with a working, reasonable condition keyfob. As a dealer, I am sure it only costs them a fraction of retail. They said no. I ask the general sales manager, Robert Register, if he would be able to do so. He also says no, then says that it's just the buttons that are missing, and I can replace them for 15 dollars on ebay. I'm very frustrated, so I said, ok, well I'm not sure I want to send this one back to you then. (Note: looking up the tracking information, they had already mailed the fob out that morning) Robert immediately gets aggressive and says, "you want to play it that way, huh, then you're not getting this fob either." I have not been aggressive or raised an attitude at this point, so I quite calmly, informed him of my displeasure with his attempt to sell a car to me 3k over advertised price, to which he claims is impossible, because they don't advertise their prices online, with an angry and aggressive, "Are you calling me a liar?" (Which is exactly what liars say, might I add) I end the call, because I don't want to match his aggression, as I still have to depend on them to complete the paperwork and get the tag. So I text him screenshots of... you guessed it, his website and advertised price of the car, that I had taken before buying the car, since the car was already removed from their site. He then begins backpedaling and claiming that the 30k was "his cost" of the car, then starts telling me that they were going to fulfill their promise and send me the keyfob regardless of how *I* was acting, and that it was up to me if I was going to send the other back. Curious, I read some reviews, and 3 months prior, another person had a similar story, where they tried to sell a car over the online advertised price. I have held off on writing a review until I was clear of this dealership. I am now tagged, and I am refinanced through my CU at a much lower rate. I thought of contacting the dealership, but the place is run by... Robert Register... Sr. That's not going to help. 0/10 do not recommend. More

I was in the market for a Toyota RAV4 XSE Hybrid with some accessories for my daughter. We explored Huntsville, AL, and noticed that the prices offered here were very high, along with a ridiculously some accessories for my daughter. We explored Huntsville, AL, and noticed that the prices offered here were very high, along with a ridiculously high markup fee. On my friend’s advice, we visited Landers McLarty Toyota in Fayetteville, TN. Even though it was 47 minutes away, it was the best 47-minute drive we’ve taken. I spoke with Doc, our salesperson, and custom-ordered the car exactly as my daughter and I wanted it, and put down a deposit. We waited almost four months before the car arrived at the dealership. To our surprise, the car came with additional options that we did not request. Doc apologized for the mix-up by Toyota Manufacturing. However, in addition to the added costs for those unwanted options, the MSRP also increased by $500. Doc apologized repeatedly and worked with us to arrive at a reasonable price. We drove away happily in the new car and were glad that Doc was our salesperson. Doc was very professional, friendly, and courteous. Most importantly, he kept his word, which is a quality that I greatly admired in him. I was extremely pleased to have worked with Doc. More
