It would be great if dealerships in general could facilitate more of the sales process electronically versus requiring multiple trips to their location. In April of 2010 I had a similar experience but with the service department when they weren't able to reproduce one of a couple warranty repair issues that I had scheduled an appointment to come in for. After the first appointment, they ordered a replacement deck but were confirmed they were not able to hear the ticking coming from one of the interior blower fans so no action was taken on that issue at my initial visit. During my return appointment for installation of the replacement deck, they verified the blower issue and put a part on order. At appointment number three it was determined that the replacement motor was non-functional and another would have to be ordered. With my forth appointment these two small issues were finally resolved. My personal driving time: 8 hours not including all of the waiting room time in addition to the mileage accumulated on my lease. 9 months later, post-warranty period, and my replacement deck is experiencing the same issues as the original. At this point, I've purchased the leased vehicle outright and don't wish to make return trips for servicing (especially considering it's not often that I actually use the CD changer). More

This was especially helpful as we live a distance from the dealership and didn't want to run back and forth to complete the sale. He also went over and above by staying after hours so that I would be able to pick up my new car the next morning.
