My first new car! I was still a little undecided about the exact car I wanted when we got to Korum Hyundai. I'd been looking to replace our 15 year-old Ford Explorer fo I was still a little undecided about the exact car I wanted when we got to Korum Hyundai. I'd been looking to replace our 15 year-old Ford Explorer for awhile, and had spent several weekends visiting various dealerships, perusing websites, reading reviews, and test-driving cars - but too many options and pushy salespeople were not endearing me to the whole car-buying process. And then we met David Baxter at Korum Hyundai. He greeted us warmly, was friendly and asked what we were looking for. He asked what we'd already looked at, and if we'd driven the new Hyundais yet. He took the time to find out what I did and did not like about the cars I'd already driven, and suggested we drive the Sonata and Elantra. He told us the differences between models, trim packages, and compared them to other makes & models so we were able to evaluate the options fairly. Never did David make us feel like we were wasting his time, nor did he push one particular car (that happened at another dealer); instead, he listened and recommended, asked what we thought about various features, and patiently led us around the lot pointing out the options. He was knowledgeable about the car market, both locally and globally, could answer my husband's pointed questions as well as my more simple ones, and didn't make either of us feel stupid or silly for asking. Eventually, we decided on a 2014 Elantra (sport). While certainly not my first car purchase, this is my first NEW car and I was elated --- but a little overwhelmed at the gadgets. David again took the time to make sure we knew how to operate everything, helped us sync our phones with the car's bluetooth, showed us how to use the backup camera, XM radio, and so forth. He offered his assistance in the future, should we need it, which just puts a nice big ribbon on the whole experience. The financing was quick and painless, and everyone we met at the dealership was helpful and approachable. Thank you! More
