He did not hassle us with phone calls and emails. He was patient and waited until we were ready and was absolutely the greatest to deal with. He was knowledgeable and friendly, understood our situation and made the experience at Kim's the best ever when buying a car. Cliff Hughes finished the deal for us and again was very knowledgeable and pleasant to deal with. A great guy all around.. he was friendly and courteous and we will return to Kim's if for no other reason than to deal with the two of these guys again and again. Thanks to these guys for helping make this day one our daughter will never forget.. Chris has called since our purchase and made sure all was well with the car and that we continued to be satisfied. Once we narrowed down our choices, we started phone calls. Robby Laypath at Kim's Toyota was explaining more than anyone in other towns. He was on the phone with me one day for 45 minutes trying to make sure I understood every little detail of the transaction, even when he KNEW I was leaning towards another dealership's sale. Within 30 minutes of my husband talking to Robby, we decided we would buy from Robby because he was not trying to hide any financial figures. He was willing to put his promises down on paper through e-mails when some dealerships refused. He stated the facts and said the car will sell itself without him having to be pushy or sneaky. He kept asking me if I knew there would be a charge for this or that. He worked with us to reduce as many fees as possible. Once we got to the dealership to sign papers, I was still hesitant. Robby Laypath, Chris Hughes and the other Toyota employees stayed as long as it took for me to understand every word of what I was signing. My husband and I were pleasantly surprised to find that the paperwork was EXACTLY what Robby had said it would be. There were NO extra charges whatsoever. We are already planning to buy our next vehicle from Robby once we get our finances organized. That one will be a Toyota truck. This was my first purchase from Kim's Toyota, although they have repaired my cars in the past. I like their car repair shop employees, too. I will definitely be back, for many years to come, even though I have to drive an hour from home to get there! Thanks Kim's Toyota for making this a PLEASANT BUYING experience! My first New Car When I first considered purchasing a new car, I did what most people do these days...I went on line. I had just come off of a 30 rental of a Toyota C When I first considered purchasing a new car, I did what most people do these days...I went on line. I had just come off of a 30 rental of a Toyota Corolla while a family car was in the shop and that experience led me to believe that it was the car for me. I never expected to be able to afford it!!!But I looked anyway and when I got serious about the new car (after I'd obtained a 2nd job) I went back to the on-line site and filled out the pre-qualification information. Ann contacted me within 12 hours (I say that because it was very fast, but I can't remember how long). We set up a time to meet. On the day that I was supposed to meet with her I had already had some second thoughts about the 2nd job and well the monetary commitment was just going to be too much without the job. I went in and told Ann exactly what the situation and what I wanted and needed from a car. We picked out a style / model and set up a second meeting for after I'd had some time on the second job. Before the next meeting I'd decided to go forward and Ann went ahead and submitted paperwork to see if we could qualify me to purchase the Camry we'd chosen. My income did not qualify me to get that car. Ann was honest in every step of the way and did not make me feel like a dead beat because my income didn't qualify me to purchase "the car of my dreams". Ann just went ahead and changed the dream...HAHA. The Corolla I purchased, have purchased is exactly the car I had initially wanted. Turns out I never really wanted the Camry. The Corolla all of my requirements and Ann went out of her way to make sure that I was comfortable with the deal that I made. So much so that I didn't even ask about the monthly payment until I was ready to sign on the dotted line. It was that good of an experience. Ann is a wonderful sales representative and she made my car buying experience a comfortable and pleasant experience throughout all aspects. So much so that I'm making my son go to her the next car that he purchases. More
Not veteran friendly Kim's No Bull has been nothing but a headache and a nightmare. I purchased the vehicle in mid April, a brand new 2014 Toyota Highlander. I have emails Kim's No Bull has been nothing but a headache and a nightmare. I purchased the vehicle in mid April, a brand new 2014 Toyota Highlander. I have emails between the salesperson and myself agreeing to an out the door pricing. They know I was planning on registering the vehicle in Louisiana. We even have emails agreeing to 8.75% tax rate. They charged me at the Mississippi Rate and now the story by the salesperson is that I agreed to get charged at the Mississippi rate even though I clearly know the rate is at 8.75% for Louisiana. Anyways, now I am having to pay out of pocket for their paperwork mistake. The out the door pricing is what made me drive two hours to pick up this vehicle from New Orleans. Why the xxxx would I agree to paying a 5% tax rate when I clearly know it is 8.75%? Total difference of $960.00 and some change. I also came with a Navy Federal vehicle loan. The gentleman checking us out did not have any idea how to fill out the paperwork. There was no supervisor there to ensure the paperwork was filled out properly. My wife and I have left multiple messages with the General Manager(GM), with no return call. Messages left on 5/23, 5/24, 5/27. I decided to confront the Sales person over the phone with this information and he clearly stated to me that we agreed to an 8.75% tax rate, yet he tells the GM I agreed to lower. He also stated, "Well I just went with what was on the paper." I will start recording my phone calls with this dealership. Also the General Manager is not Kim Hobbs like states on the website! It is a gentleman, and he does not answer to anybody. I asked to go higher than the GM, with no avail. This is not a veteran friendly dealership! I will pass this to all my Marines in Louisiana about my shopping experience here. More
