Very very happy with Josh. WOW... I would honestly go back! It all started when I was looking for a used car 2010 Altima, and he was very helpful found out my budget, and so we were looking at so many wh back! It all started when I was looking for a used car 2010 Altima, and he was very helpful found out my budget, and so we were looking at so many when he glanced at a Sentra SR, sporty is what I like. It was the same price for a new Sentra 0 Miles than a used Altima for 30,000 miles so I thought to myself why not get a new car!!! Well we negotiated price we were both happy as where we wanted to be and made a deal right then! I honestly worked with someone that wasnt pushy like my before experience of the day! Love it and I would recomend to anyone else that is out there looking for a car. More
I started shopping for a used truck and went to a local dealer and had a terrible experience. The reason was they offered me a terrible price for my trade in and then told me that I needed to stick with th dealer and had a terrible experience. The reason was they offered me a terrible price for my trade in and then told me that I needed to stick with the used lot that the new vehicles were out of my price range. Devistated with that news, I was going give up on purchasing a vehicle altogher. That very night I found an ad online for Ken Garff Nissan in Salt Lake City and submitted my information. Within MINUTES I recieved a phone call from Sean. He told me that I would get top dollar for my trade in and possibley more and that I should come down and see them. Earlier the next day Sean called again asking some more questions about what I was looking for and that everything would be set up when I got there. Sure enough at 10:30am (scheduled appointment time) he was introducing me to a senior salesman, Lamar. Right away he was confirming what Sean and I had talked about and was offering us drinks and to walk around the Nissan Frontiers to see one that we liked. The first one he took us to was one of his top of the line trucks and asks us if we want to test drive it. As we test drove it he was explaining all the features of the truck, safety information, mpg, etc... showing us that he not only sales the vehicles but he knows what they do. While I'm driving he is entertaining my 3 1/2 month son so we can enjoy the test drive and pay attention to the way the truck handles and feels. After I finish driving, he then asks my wife if she would like to and she does and we both fall in love with it. We not only feel in love with the truck but the whole experience we were having while shopping for a vehicle. After deciding the truck I wanted and the color, we began to get down to business. Right away Lamar is offering a far price he is showing us not only the monthly price but the APR and the total price. He was not hiding anything. He was very forward about wanting us to feel right about this. After finishing price dealing we felt like we had done good and proceeded to financing, where the process was short and sweet. (Hard to believe when your spending money) Afterwards, Lamar took us to our new vehicle and asked us how he did.He wanted to know was there anything that we thought he could improve on as a salesman? We told him that not only did we buy the truck of our dreams that up until that very day we thought it would only be a dream but we had a great experience and met some amazing people. Lamar also called the next day to check up and to ask how we were enjoying our new Fronteir. I proudly recommend KEN GARFF NISSAN SALT LAKE. The environment is great, the people are friendly, and there are deals to be made! It is worth the drive to see them! More
This dealership was very rude. They told us we could not get what we wanted because our car was only worth the lowest kelly blue book value, however their vehicle was worth the highest kelly blue book value get what we wanted because our car was only worth the lowest kelly blue book value, however their vehicle was worth the highest kelly blue book value. They took their time getting us the price for the trade in value and we never could come to an agreement. I feel they didn't even try to come to an agreement. If they didn't get it exactly their way, then they didn't want the business. More
I am an out-of-state buyer looking for a specific pre-owned Nissan vehicle. They had one listed on their website that appeared to fit the bill-low miles, pristine condition, fair price. I called to a pre-owned Nissan vehicle. They had one listed on their website that appeared to fit the bill-low miles, pristine condition, fair price. I called to ask specifics on this vehicle and it turned out to have a run-flat tire system that I did not want. When I told them I would have to keep looking, Levi offered to personally go out to the vehicle and get the numbers off the tires while on the phone with me. He took the information over to the service and then the parts department to make absolutely sure he was giving me the correct information. He then offered to investigate options to switch out the rims and tires to something that would meet my needs. He was true to his word and called back shortly with options and prices. If there was anything he could do, he offered to help. He also offered to look into vehicle shipping options with reputable companies, since I am a 4 day drive away. Ultimately, it didn't make sense for me to purchase this vehicle due to the cost of obtaining it, and cost of modifying the tire system. However, I would not hesitate to highly recommend this dealership (and Levi in particular) to anyone in the SLC area looking for a Nissan. Outstanding service rarely found at a car dealership. More
I wish I were able to rate the interaction with my salesman, Jack Hart, separately from the rest of my experience. Jack did a great job. Also, Rhett Prows, the General Manager, was very helpful. salesman, Jack Hart, separately from the rest of my experience. Jack did a great job. Also, Rhett Prows, the General Manager, was very helpful. But my experience with finance manager Carson Kraatz was incredibly disappointing. I will certainly never do business with him again. While he denies it, he told me bold-faced lies. If you are going to buy a car at any dealership, know that you will probably have to fight to have the window etching and extended warranty charges removed from the sales contract. If you're going to work with Carson Kraatz, you should know that he is a SNAKE! Buyer beware. This guy is incredible. Here are two great little maneuvers he pulled on me. I hope that this will help someone. I negotiated $200 off the price of the car to have dents pulled. He threw $180 right back on the "Accessories and Options" line of the contract and insisted that it was for licensing fees for which there was not a proper line on the contract. Don't fall for this. The State and an expert I consulted with confirmed that the charges appeared to be "for nothing." Carson ignored several emails and voicemails I left for him as I tried to resolve our "misunderstanding." Only when I finally tracked down the General Manager's phone number did Carson respond. He cut a check to me for the $180 "tax and license" fee, and on the memo line he wrote something like "Refund for window and door moldings." Yes, those window and door moldings we never discussed. SNAKE. Carson also told me that the bank would not finance a car like the one I was purchasing if I did not purchase a $750 gap insurance policy on it. This is also a lie. In fact, it is illegal to tell somebody this. Carson tells me that I "misunderstood what [he] said." I heard exactly what he said. There's more to this story that I won't share here. Carson was cautiously crafty in the way he sold me this baloney. Carson told me half-truths and ultimately sold me a $750 third-party gap insurance policy that I did not want. Surely he would receive a fat commission on such an outrageously-priced gap policy (most gap policies cost around $300). The gap policy was refundable, but Carson made it difficult to cancel it and get my money back. It took two months and multiple calls and emails. And while maybe it was true that 'whoops, we cut the check a month ago and it fell into a drawer and didn't find it until now,' I'm having some trust issues with the dealership. I think they're warranted. More
Beware when leasing a vehicle from this dealership. They don't "back you up" as promised. Today is the third day (the last day) since I leased a 2010 Altima and they refuse to take the vehicle back. Why? don't "back you up" as promised. Today is the third day (the last day) since I leased a 2010 Altima and they refuse to take the vehicle back. Why? Because the loan has since funded. The reason why I want to return the vehicle? Because after being literally rushed through the signing, I went back and looked through the numbers and they were not the numbers that we agreed upon from the beginning. I was not given the full amount for my trade in as agreed, and when I pointed that out to Carson he said "well thats the number that was on there"- making me feel as though I was stuck. This was at 10pm at night and no one else was there besides Sam and Carson. I should have just got up and walked out and trusted my gut feeling. Also, the price of the vehicle when you are leasing DOES matter, no matter what Sam or any of the other salesmen say. I know this because John at the Ken Garff Nissan in Riverdale told us that today. We were repeatedly assured that the price doesn't matter since we're "renting" it. So, my option is to trade in a 3 day old car, and suck up the 10K LOSS (31k was the "price" of the car- I was told the car was going to be 27K)- and the car's trade in value is less than 21k. Were they nice? Sure!! But nice doesn't mean that they are HONEST!!!! 3 years, 2 months and 27 days left of driving a car that was leased to us shady. More
Having searched the internet I saw that Ken Garff Nissan - Salt Lake seemed to have the best advertised prices overall. I did look and drive a few other cars (Toyota) at a couple of broker dealers earlier. I was looking for a Camry or Altima and chose Altima for it's handling, reliability and comfort. I called KG and Levi answered. He was very patient and communicated well. I already had an idea of what I was looking for but had questions about a lease program being advertised. Levi was able to answer my questions about the lease. The next morning, a Saturday, I called ahead and told Levi I decided against the lease and would be looking for a used Altima and if he had something similar in price I would be open to looking. When I arrived at the dealership the I was pleasantly greeted and introduced to Sam. Sam already had an Altima warmed up and ready for a test drive. We did go for a drive and came back to look at a few other model designations and years, including a Hybrid and a Maxima. We sat down with Sam and discussed options and pricing on the different vehicles. We were offered drinks and popcorn and made to feel comfortable. Sam took my trade and pricing requirements to the manager and came back with a great deal on the Altima we drove! The mileage was a little higher than what I wanted but I couldn't pass up the great price. All in all a great experience. This is the 2nd time I've purchased from Garff - Salt Lake, the first time was in 1991! As a follow up, I went to the dealership the following Monday with the title and keys for my trade and talked with another salesman about a drink holder that was missing in the console. He took care of me right away and thanked me for my business. More

The reason why I have given Ken Garff Nissan of Salt Lake City such a poor review is for the following reason: fraud on behalf of the dealership and its employees. A mistake on the part of the employees, whi City such a poor review is for the following reason: fraud on behalf of the dealership and its employees. A mistake on the part of the employees, which could have been easily acknowledged and fixed, turned into a nightmare for myself when the employees refused to return money that was clearly owed to me. I have tried many times since purchasing my vehicle to have my money returned to me but Ken Garff Nissan as a whole will not comply or respond to my requests, no matter how many times I ask. More
